Great discussion guys cool to see so much passion.

yo ucan't compare what a player scored in games on completely different teams in completely different offences against completely different opponents.

You can. Their own ratings are their own ratings. Game shape is a factor you need to take into account which is why I stuck to the last week.

Honestly man, as soon as ANYONE starts complaining about *their player*, they lose me. I am so not interested.

Why? So if someone starts ripping Kobe you wouldn't defend him? I am sure you would because you know him better than those that are speaking from ignorance.

If someone starts ripping Tyreke Evans you will probably keep quiet because you don't know him.

I know my players. I know what they do. I know their strengths & weaknesses. If someone rips or drops them & they are right I stay quiet or agree. If they are wrong then I defend my guys.

I don't look forther than my guys in general because I don't know their stats, I haven't studied them, I don't know how & well they perform well. Why should I be commenting on things I know nothing about? I'll leave that to others.

If you don't like me being loyal to my players & talking about things that I know best then feel free to skip my posts when you see them on that topic.

I am self-serving, who isn't? But I am also as keen as anyone to help the nation. It is great that there are so many managers in Nippon who are willing to sacrifice team wins to train young local players, you, me, Wolph, YC, Mizik, Izaman, Hijiki & Man-Month are some of the highest profile. Fantastic!

I think you hit the nail on the head.

No, no he didn't. Not at all. Not with that comment. Because there's another thing that loses me completely: comparisons of this game with the NBA.

awhile back I raised some questions about whether Nash can play defence when he was young...let alone as a geezer. I mentioned that Kobe is getting older, even though for his entire career he's been one of the best defenders at SG in the entire league (although people only know him for his offence) his defence and stamina are declining.... and man you shoulda seen how many names Malice called me. He basically told me that if I suggested the Lakers will have defensive issues in the coming season I was a complete idiot who knew nothing about basketball and that I should shut my mouth....in less polite terms.

I find it really funny he has issue with you propping up players you train and staff in a competitive game where you call the shots, or how he knocks how serious I and others play a game where WE are actually competing. And how stupid/foolish that makes us...Yet he has devoted most of his life to a team (LAL) he most certainly has ABSOLUTELY no responsibility for the success of. Not a coach, not a manager, not an anything . Just an overzelous fan. And he is from Australia, the weirdest peice of the puzzle to me....

Sigh... more of this, again?
I didn't call you names, I LAUGHED at your lack of knowledge about the NBA. You even TOLD me that you "didn't watch the NBA any more", and hadn't for several years... yet you knew it all.

This is more than a bit hypocritical. Get all pissy and upset and beat your chest about someone saying "personal" things about you, but here you are feeling justified about doing the same thing? Good job I don't feel the need to get all King Kong over it and threaten people. Like someone else did, hmmm?

Sheesh wolph. "Devoted most of his life"? That is completely and utterly inane. As is your assertion that obsession over a browser-based game is "normal". And because I'm from Australia I can't be a fan? So... you're racist too.
Do you really want to keep going down this track wolph? I think we both know I seem to know which buttons to push.

Oh... and wolph? It's *overzealous...

And please consider that Tsunami is one of the worst player in this NT. With Tsunami I lost all 4 matches, without him I won easily.

+1 for that. Please consider also that with Kouzuki last season (he was injured for several weeks this season) we did very well. But it doesn't matter, your closed mind is made up on this subject. You ignore experience as a stat. You ignore game shape as a stat. You have your method & wont listen to reason.

Again this is stunning. Sonada as the 11th best PF and 7th best C. Have you even looked at the games where he played & was consistently 1 of the most effective players on the team let alone 1 of the most effective bigs, probably been our 2nd best big man performer over the last couple of seasons before YOU were washed ashore.

I think it is fine for anyone to be passionate & zealous about whatever their hobby is, NBA teams, online games, polishing their car, who cares. Everyone has feelings about something trivial. I think we should stop fighting eachother & start fighting BBking again.

Re comparasons NBA vs THIS GAME: I can compare my bike with a Ferarri or a monster truck. It doesn't mean I think they are the same. It is just fun to make comparasons.

You have your method & wont listen to reason.

Come on dude... "reason" according to you.

I think it's unfair to rant at the guy, ask for reasons why your guy isn't given as much court time as you want - get a calm, "reasoned" explanation (as in, he gave reasons as to his decisions)... then declare him to be completely and utterly wrong.

It's absolutely ok to be passionate about your players, but he is the NT coach, and whilst he doesn't possess the same methodology/theory as Yoks, it is merely different. Not worse per se.
I'll stand by my comment before: once a person starts ranting about their player over the performance of the nation, I will summarily dismiss anything they have to say on the issue.
