So TIE and CT pretty much make up for homefield advantage.

Yeah, but they are really very balanced..I would say that they are just about the same.

It is nice that you have shared this information with us.
Conclusions should be taken carefully:
- A lot of good teams often play TIE, and probably not many bad teams TIE to save enthusiasm (that's part of being bad...).
- Good teams almost never CT, and surely much less than bad teams.
- Good teams, who often TIE, have higher enthusiasm.
- Everybody who CT, do it to beat a better team.
- Enthusiasm effect in average teams should be usually around 5.
- Few teams will TIE when they know they are going to loose, because most people thinks they have a great team (particulary true in Spain).

As a conclusion, I think TIE-N (50%-50%) and N-TIE (72%-28%) statistics probably overestimate significantly the amount of games being won with TIE.
Similarly, although probably in less extension can be said of CT-N (77%-23%) and N-CT (48%-52%).

The first issue is the effect of TiE and CT. What I'd say here is simply to remind you that under the old system, when you played CT or TiE it would make your ratings go up, but under the new system, it does not.

Sorry if I insist on this once more, but after tonight's games it looks again impossible to me that TiE and CT do not influence the ratings.
These are the last two spanish games (the first one is a TiE and the second a CT).

There should not be any home court advantage in the second, as the games were played in Italy.
I know that the second game is with a slightly higher enthusiasm and with different players... but still...

I just have a quick plea to the BB gods that I wanted to throw out there that is somewhat off topic - please, please don't make drastic changes to the BB game engine, economy or training speeds! That is exactly the reason I quit Hattrick (HT) after playing for over 3 years. It is unfathomably frustrating to be playing a game that requires long term planning only to have your planning thrown out the window by rule changes or drastic meddling with the economy.

One prime example from HT - midfielders are generally considered the most valuable because your amount of midfield possession of the ball generated how many scoring chances you would receive. Predictably this led to a premium being paid on midfielders and a simultaneous abundance of midfielder trainers. As a result of this, eventually the market became oversaturated with midfielders and prices plummeted, causing deflation across the board (since all those midfielder trainers were now earning less money to spend on other positions). Instead of letting the market take its course and correct itself (since essentially the HT economy was in a recession and needed broaded diversification amongst the skill trainings), the HT gods pumped the market with gobs of money leading to over-inflation (which apparently they are now trying to correct in some other way).

Another HT example - training takes a very long time for each skill pop, generally 6-8 weeks, so training multi-skilled players is prohibitive time-wise. However, now they have changed the game engine to require multi-skilled players, but not changed the training times enough to compensate.

Anyway, the point of this rant is to just ask the BB-team to not ruin the game by trying to hard to improve it. I have two comments on the state of the BB game, and maybe I am alone in my thoughts here, so please forgive this now lenghty rant.

First, I love the current training speed and wish that it would not be lengthened (especially given the new potential ratings that will lengthen training speeds on its own). Having the possibility of a player pop at any given week is awesome, and even more so with the possibility that such player will pop two weeks in a row.

Second, please don't try to prime the economy in the event of player devaluation. Perhaps there are other reasons to prime the economy (i.e. fans are too finicky after losses, trainers are too expensive, etc.), but trainers are saavy enough to figure out what to train in order to profit.

Apologies for how my "quick plea" turned into a lengthy rant.

Peace out!

I think you'll find that you wont have to worry about this.

Every contemplated changed is analyzed to within an inch (or, for the metric users, 2.54 centimeters) of it's life. Every possible outcome is considered, and that's why changes aren't made on a whim.

You're in good hands here in that regard.

Were any more changes introduced before today's finals ?

I started with 3 enthusiasm, played TIE, and I'm at 4 after the game. I feel like closing BB and never opening it again right now.
