Season 59: Let's Break it Down and Tape it Back Together

Merchandise Breakdown, Taping injuries abilities for all doctors, New World Cup format. Wait, have I read that correctly? A Merchandise Breakdown? YES! In the bottom of your economy page, you'll find a detailed breakdown of your merchandise, get to know how much money you make off having homegrown and local players. You can now know exactly how much merchandise you get from your arena design(we called it "Arena Sponsorships") and how much merchandise each player generates.

The BB medical staff have gone through several taping injuries seminars. That means, starting this season, every doctor will have the ability to tape up a player and get him back into the game! The higher the level, the better the chance. But only the doctors who specialized their injury taping skills will be the best.

Starting in season 60, the World Cup will have 16 teams on it! We've removed the unloved Repechage games and turned the WC qualification games into a one match series in the final week of the season. We've also made improvements in the consolation tournament draw and made it harder for the strongest nations to win the Home Court Advantage.

A small important piece of information about the League Consolidation - every season, in order to fill the leagues with 12 human teams, a small amount of teams with the lowest rank of their division will be moved to other leagues. We thought it would be the best to make it known so when it happens, it will be less surprising. We try to limit this shuffle to as least teams as possible.

The Belgium's best serial killers (Managed by JoeMaverick aka "The Format Guy") have managed to assasinate their way to the first B3 title for Joe and first ever for Belgium! Leading the competition in fouls per game, they have managed to overcome Folgado Lakers II(Mananged by Darkonako) In a brilliant tactical B3 Finals that ended in the result of 101 - 96!

Congratulations for France NT (Managed by xJeff85x) for their first ever World Cup title! They have beaten Suomi(managed by the legend hene10) 97 - 75 in the Grand Finals. First trophy for Suomi in 26 seasons!

The B3 prediction contest winners are in 1st Place: bigshoes (Hong Kong), 2nd Place: Tico (Espana), and tied for 3rd place: Aalmon (Deutschland), Iserlone (Hong Kong), kozlik4 (Polska)

以往，破產是球隊的末日。但現在銀行改變了政策，他們會為球隊注資，把球隊留在聯盟內。球隊經理不需申請新球會，全新的球員、職員、場館以及$300 000的可用資金，狀況與全新球會一樣。

還有，早前宣佈過世界盃將會有16支球隊參賽，復活賽已換成資格賽，於賽季最後一周進行一站生死制的緊張比賽。

恭喜Dolar帶領DLR Baskeball Club取得B3冠軍盃賽的最後勝利!他是第三位來自波蘭的經理取得此殊榮。決賽以93-92擊倒由芬蘭的Tuoki所執教的Hupipalloilijat，比賽非常緊湊，雙方旗鼓相當。

U21世界冠軍錦標賽由Rožius領軍的立陶宛，在決賽以83-68戰勝由Antwon帶領的美國。本賽季的成年隊國家隊世界錦標賽將會在羅馬尼亞舉辦。

Welcome to season 60: Scouting, Bankruptcy and more…

Scouting has never been easier. Social media, cheap flights and video conferencing all add up to our scouts being more efficient in their investigations, which, translated in BuzzerBeater terms, means the scouting points awarded per each scouting investment tier have been increased! (317618.1)

Since the start of time, bankruptcy meant the end for bankrupt teams. However, the banks have now changed their approach - they are willing to keep the team managers and invest in teams after bankruptcy. It is still a very similar process and situation as if signing up for a new team; a fresh new roster, staff and arena plus the economy is reset to $300k, but no longer is it necessary to apply for a new team.

Oh, and btw, as announced, World Cup now has 16 teams. The repechage games have been removed and turned the WC qualification games into a one match series in the final week of the season.

Congratulations go to Dolar, the manager of DLR Baskeball Club for winning the B3 last season! He is the third manager from Poland to do so since BB inception. His victory over Tuoki of Hupipalloilijat from Finland was a tough one, ending with a very close 93 - 92 score. It was truly a nail biting match, full of twists between two very evenly matched teams.

The U21 World Championship was won by Lietuva, led by Rožius over the United States, managed by Antwon. The low scoring match ended 83-68. This season’s senior National Team championships will be held in Romania.

Since Poland has taken the B3, it comes as no surprise that the B3 predictions contest was also won by a Polish manager, szuti! Enjoy your one full free your of Supporter, you’ve earned it! Second and third places were filled by bigshoes and Glacier, respectively.

Welcome to Season 61: GE improvements and better injury estimates

Injuries are such an important factor of BuzzerBeater; knowing how long they can last is crucial information which can dictate long term strategies. We’ve all been there, a big match coming up in a few weeks, but will our star player be ready for it? Instead of guessing in the dark, improvements in medical diagnosis of late have made it possible to show a more precise estimate in days, rather than weeks.

The game engine has also received a couple of tweaks, to keep it relevant with current basketball rules. Some long standing bugs have also been addressed.

The next season's draft class will be judged just a bit more harshly. For example, top draftees will be required to fulfill a higher standard of quality to get that 5 ball rating when scouted. The intention is to make drafting more precise and rewarding, in case you do get that coveted first place pick!

Let's take a moment to congratulate Tuoki, the manager of Hupipalloilijat from Finland, for emerging as the B3 champion last season! His victory over the season 58 champion, JoeMaverick of Vottem Cowboys from Belgium was a hard-fought battle, with a thrilling comeback in the last two quarters, ending 107-100. On his route to the final, Tuoki also beat Dolar, the season 59 champion, so his achievement is truly a well earned one!

Shifting our focus to the World Championships, we extend our congratulations to Spain, led by manager LeYeNdiNhA, for triumphing over Germany, managed by Charles M.. In an exciting contest, Spain secured a close fought 79-83 victory. Welcome to Season 62: More Assists, More Points, Modern Game Engine.

BuzzerBeater game engine was based originally on early 2000s basketball, but it's a completely different basketball game today. From paint battles and isolations, the game has evolved to a fast paced attacking schemes, based on movement and passes. It's time for BB to join the party. We've implemented an improvement on assists for all game types, and we are testing a larger effect in private league games, which will be implemented sometime in the future. (320335.20)(320335.50)

A moment of appreciation to BB-Justin, slowly but surely he built a fully functional and beautiful app, one that already has most of the core features. Fan Survey, Draft and a Forum are missing, but they are the target now. Once again, we urge you all to give the app a try, we're sure you'll like it.

The return of the Look Inside? Congratulations 旭日Sky, the manager of 旭日冲天, they are the winners of the BuzzerBeater's Best! Winning 3 consecutive games against former B3 champions with very powerful version of the inside based strategy. They beat Folgado Lakers managed by Darkonako in a game where they dominated from the beginning, ending at 91-80.

Spain U21, managed by Norris are the World U21 Champions! They scored a perfect season of 14 wins without a single loss, and won over the USA U21, managed by Antwon in the Finals 96-75 thanks to their great game preparataion and a classy second quarter. Spain are now the World Cup Champions in both U21 and NT, while also being the NT European Champions and the U21 European runner ups! Fascinating domination! But can they keep it up? The upcoming NT World Cup will be held in Malaysia.

這些練習比賽會讓各位有個完美的機會可以測試你們的戰術以及，嗯，改進它。想預約這種比賽很簡單: 點進友誼賽的頁面，選擇電腦的難度，並且按下邀請，或者是直接點進好友(或是你的第二隊)的球隊頁面來隨時發出挑戰！

此外，友誼賽頁面也可以確認你發出或收到的即興賽挑戰，同時也可以在選單的友誼賽連結旁邊看到以藍色字體顯示的收到的挑戰數量。即興賽最快可以設定在五分鐘後開賽，由於即興賽陣容調整的期限在開賽前兩分鐘，這代表你還有三分鐘可以設定陣容！

Welcome to Season 63: Pick Up The Pace

It's no secret that the BuzzerBeater Game Engine has recently undergone several updates. It has been a long time coming, but we finally believe the Game Engine is now the most balanced it has ever been, with each offensive and defensive tactic being considered seriously. With this, we have also implemented changes that simulate the fast pace of modern basketball, essentially resulting in more assists in all matches (tested in private leagues last season). If only there were a way to test these new changes and bold claims… Oh wait, now there is! And this is where our brand new feature shines: PickUp Games! (322271.1)

These practice matches will give everyone a perfect opportunity to test their tactical knowledge and, eventually, improve it. Scheduling these games is easy; head to the scrimmages page to schedule instantly arranged games against bots of different levels of difficulty, or use the team overview page of your friends (or your second team!) to issue challenges to be played anytime you want!

Additionally, the scrimmage page is the place to check out all the pickup game challenges, issued or received, with the number of received challenges also visible beside the scrimmage link in the menu (in blue). Pickup games can be scheduled to start in as little as 5 minutes from now, and since the lineup deadline is only 2 minutes before the opening tip, you might end up having only 3 minutes to set your lineup!

Now, we can't have an unlimited number of practice matches each week, so we have devised a system to give out a fair taste of the new feature for everyone: pickup game tokens. While anyone can issue an unlimited number of challenges (as long as at least one token is available), each accepted game or a game instantly arranged with a bot (or your second team) will spend 1 token. To give you a running start, 3 tokens have been awarded to each team right now. Each week, additional tokens will be given to all teams, with a small bonus for our supporters. Spend them wisely!

Our BB Scouts have gone through several seminars around the world (all expenses covered, not to worry) and now they return with a promise: At least one high-potential player in all League Drafts! On top of that, 19-year-old draftees will become even more appealing - their maximum skill level will rise from 9.5 to 10.5.

Let's congratulate bigshoes of bigshoes for winning the B3 finals, 20 full seasons after their last B3 finals. The first ever Hong Kong team to win B3! A very exciting roster and a myriad of used tactics all through the season, finally they managed to beat Folgado Lakers (managed by Darkonako) in a game marked by a very unlucky injury for Folgado at the start 90 - 75.

The Poland NT (managed by kozlik4) are the NT World Champions! The WC Finals ended at 113 - 83, and the winner was never in doubt. They have reached the WC Final Four after having to win 3 consecutive games in a row in the 2nd round, and in the last game of that round, they managed to get their F4 qualification thanks to a game winning buzzerbeater. Let's also congratulate the USA NT (managed by Mediocrity) for their runner up position and a very promising young team! The next U21 World Cup will be held in Schweiz (Switzerland).

Regarding our B3 predictions contest, Turkish manager Edmond Dantês claimed victory, closely followed by BuddyHolly of Taiwan and Rancie from the Pilipinas, sharing second place. Third place is snapped up by our own CM-Alonso from Israel!

各位，你們呼喚已久的自動出價功能終於來啦！ 在競標球員與職員的時候終於可以輕鬆一點了。這個功能的運作方式與一般常見的拍賣會很類似: 與現行的一般出價不同(但你還是可以採用此方式 - 我們沒有移除舊的出價按鈕)，你可以設定一個預期價格(最高出價)，系統將會替你出價，以每次增加最小額度(至少$1000或是2%，取較大值)，直到你設定的價格為止。

Welcome to Season 64: AutoBid!

Finally, the much requested AutoBid feature is here! Bidding on both players and staff has just become much easier. The way it works is very similar to auction sites; instead of bidding a fixed amount (which you can still do - we didn’t remove the old Bid button), you can now set an amount (maximum bid) up to which you are ready to bid. The system will then bid for you just the lowest necessary amount to take over the auction (a difference of at least $1000 or 2% still applies).

Other bidders can then make bids (normal or automatic ones) to try and overbid you, but once the max bid has been overbid, even by $1, that’s it, the new bidder has taken over! In case of ties, the priority is with the earlier bid, “automatic” or “normal”. But, in the end, the highest bid wins, just as it always has.

The system checks the available amount of cash of the max bid holder with each bid, so not having enough funds to cover it will result in an overbid. Also, there are no limits on how many auto bids you can set at any given time. We believe the system is intuitive and fair and would like to encourage you to try it out. (323217.13)

Exceeding 1500 Utopia teams, we wanted to thank you all for the support! Next season we will have to expand the 4th division of Utopia in order to house all the new signings! As of now, we've decided to match the starting Utopia Arena to be the same as all starting arenas of regular teams (6000 seats). We know things can be tough when starting playing in Utopia leagues and the competitiveness it offers and we believe we shouldn't make it any more harder and reward our most persistent managers. All managers that created their Utopia teams within the last two seasons and have upgraded their arenas in the meantime, have been reimbursed for the difference.

Congratulations are due to France U21 (coached by slamdunk9) for winning the U21 World Cup! Led by the mighty scorer Gamin, they managed to achieve a winning advantage in the 4Q to win the tight match 92 - 85. They beat USA U21 (coached by Antwon) which achieved its 3rd WC Finals in a row, very impressive from both teams.

Team and manager bigshoes were unstoppable once again! Successfully sustaining the last season gold roster, bigshoes has won their second B3 title in a row! The Final result 128 - 97 was quite expected considering the GDPs and we commend Ramat-Ilan Pilots (coached by GM-Arbelon) for trying his best and reaching their first B3 Finals!

The B3 predictions contest winners are Eddy and KrakoviaB from Squiperia and Argentina respectively. They had the same amount of points and have split their prize, landing them half a year of Supporter each. Second place went to Granjoe3 from Spain and third to zyga1990 from Poland. Welcome to Season 65: The LeBron effect!

Medical advancements, nutritional supplements, cryo chambers, etc… They have all had a great effect on increased player durability and have extended careers of greatest basketball stars. Following suit, we are pushing the start of the deterioration age for all BB players to 35! The change has already been implemented starting today!

Modern basketball is evolving and we try to follow, so adjustments have been made to our game engine and, while most of them are focused on improving our current offense and defense strategies, as well as other things, some are aimed towards a better simulation of current trends in basketball. We hope these changes, while gentle, will also bring more balance to all game plans and tactics.

Poland NT (managed by kozlik4) has done it again! They are the BuzzerBeater World Cup winners, back to back! A rare achievement in the NT world. Just like the last time, they have managed to get 3 wins in a row to avoid elimination in the second round robin and beat Hong Kong (managed by bigshoes) in a surprisingly close game that ended 93 - 86. For Hong Kong it was their first EVER WC Finals appearance!
The next U21 World Cup will be held in India!

Etonic Akeem (managed by Norris) has put their defense on the BuzzerBeater's Best display this season and didn't let anyone get past it! They won KS Goldena (managed by kozlik4) by the end result of 69 - 58. Out of 6 knockout B3 games, they suffocated their opponents to no more than 60 points in 5 of those games! In related news, most lower tier victory rewards for B3 and BBM matches have been increased.

Congratulations to the winners of our B3 prediction contest: T3T from Italy will enjoy his one year of free Supporter! The Australian manager bryce_gibbs is in second place, and third is split by Faust from Russia and our BB mini celebrity, kozlik4 from Poland.
