If you would like to use your C a lot in a outside tactic, I recommend some passing training before he caps. A Center which rebounds and directly passes the ball to your outside players is a great weapon. Besides that it adds quite some value to the player.

Such a training fits in very well, in a season when you're quite sure you're chances at promotion are almost non-existant and where you have to pick your games.

I'm training him to be a SG because of his height. He has had a week of 2pos 1-1 training without pops, so I plan to train 1-1 again this week. Then I think I'll train passing, JR, and OD.

That's a good choice, considering height

Assuming you are training this guy on one position: It is often a good choice to give the player as much as possible one position trainings during the normal weeks, during the play-off weeks (+allstarbreak) it is often wise to give a player a teamtraining or a 2 positiontraining which cannot be given on one position: RB, 1vs1, JS. This way you can develop 3 talents as efficient as possible.

Also focussing on one position training first is often a better choice, so you can afterwards balance the skills of a player. This is because Jumpshot, driving and handling are often secondaries of other trainings. But it is not the other way around.

Here's my trainee I've been working on since the age of 18.

Age: 22
Height: 6'8" / 203 cm
Potential: superstar
Game Shape: proficient

Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: prolific Handling: prominent
Driving: average Passing: average
Inside Shot: tremendous Inside Def.: wondrous
Rebounding: prolific Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: awful Free Throw: average

Going to train rebounding for the rest of the season, hopefully get that up to wondrous, then polish off JS/PA and maybe some DR or JR next season.

Would you be so kind to give me a indication of his starting skills at 18? He might be a quite good reference for some of my own trainees. It is indeed a very nice player!

He was actually just a C to begin with. From memory..

Jump Shot: inept Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: mediocre Handling: respectable
Driving: atrocious Passing: awful
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: inept
Stamina: awful Free Throw: average

If I had drafted a true SF, he'd be far ahead of my guy right now. As it is, I'm making my guy into a rounded PF, kinda like Lamar Odom, someone who can play PF but won't gimp me if I shift him out to SF, meaning I can play inside offense to create a mismatch.
