Yes, another very good result. It shows how well the team has done this season that it's a bit of a disappointment that results elsewhere weren't really in our favour, though it was possibly unrealistic to hope for qualification from such a difficult pool. Having set off this season with very low expectations initially, even from the incoming coach, a winning season seems a decent result.

it was a good result, a little disappointing that we didn't score more inside but our shape wasn't tremendous there. It was nice to see Conaghan score well for us, great reward for JR who has worked hard to train him. It was disappointing to see Russia lose however, this means we need Portugal to CT Israel and beat them by a big margin, need Russia to beat the Ukraine and we need to win our game by a hefty PD. However all things said and done our boys have done us proud this season and although there have been some shape problems as there always will be we can walk away from this season with 5 wins rather than 3 and a solid stamp of pride for a job well done.

Yes Russia losing was a bit unfortunate, now they can't TIE Ukraine and in fact risk to capitulate to Ukraine CT in the last game. However, even if Israel had lost this game their PD was a lot healthier than anybody else running for that second position and would have been hard to pass them unless they lost 3 games. Let's hope this campaign brings better ranking and an easier group stage for the future.

Also, Vecx, I directed a new manager to you as he has a player that might be interesting for the U21 (certainly hope so, so that would make over 10 active managers in my division!).

One final throw of the dice but it was never to be, we had a good go beating our last opponent by 66 points brinigng us into 3rd place with a 5-2 record, not bad considering we were looking at 3-4 at the start of the season. Sadly this was not enough to get us through to the knockouts, but we had one hell of a go at it!

Thanks for all the support and effort training players and getting gameshapes up, nows the time for us to focus on the next stage of development for the team.

Very good season, though Vecx's prediction of 3-4 now looks a bit like a certain football manager's claims that his team shouldn't be expected to win the title.

It was a very tough group though and finishing 3rd is certainly a pleasant surprise. I've no idea how the draw works, but it would be nice if our high finish can lead to a better draw in future seasons.

All things considered, I'd have to say, excellent job Vecx.

If you consider we only had 3 choices inside for the first 3 games which were against the hardest opponents we faced this season, because players we would have used as starters had GS 4-6 due to being sold or played for 100+ minutes. I think 3-4 was a reasonable prediction, let's not forget we played with two backup choices and one first choice, Parker, who played the first 3 games with GS 6-7.

The team we played Portugal with was dramatically better inside than our starting team.

All said and done I'd say 3-4 was aptly conservative but not unrealistic.
