Hello everyone,
Just a little review of the last scrimmages.
We started with two tight wins against the Netherlands (World Ranking 26).
I already wrote about the first game. Before the second one, we faced Nehir's injury but still managed to win with an LP against an inside box.
Then we've just been defeated twice by England (World Ranking 23), again with really tight games.
The first game was with Nehir out of shape, Göksu injured before the game and Yotzov injured in the first qt... I'm quite confident we could have won with a bit more of luck.
Second game was with most of our interiors being out of shape while the guards were in good shape. I wanted to try outside offense + 3-2, my mistake was to compensate it with an inside gdp against a motion. But it was interesting to see we may lack rebound at the moment to be really confident with a 3-2.
Even if we have a very low enthusiasm and we faced some injuries, I think these first scrimmages were quite interesting.
Given we lack true SF at the moment, even more with Boyadzhiev not being well trained since he's been sold, I've been able to try different lineups and see how and when it could work.
Also, we can simply understand that we're close to the level of the top 20-25 nations of the world. It gives some good hopes for next consolation tournament.
I wish you all a good season ending !
