I read in the new and now closed thread that the big problem is the artwork.

Well why don't you just hire him/her/them again? The faces on BB are just amazing and for me take them way above all the other sports simulation games I have tried which is close to a dozen. Hire the same person, get some more faces, trophies and jerseys. Fantastic. Yes this is not NBA Live or NBA2K10 so we do not expect that level of graphics but the excellent graphics that you do have make a huge difference to the enjoyment of this game.
Obviously the big question is money. Running a business you have to make choices all the time. Every time you spend money on one thing then you can't spend it on another thing. However if you made some more cool cosmetic features for supporters and it encouraged more people to become supporters it would pay for itself and hopefully make a profit.
If there are 50,000 players and you could persuade even 1% more to become supporters through cool features that would be a lot of money.
Extra features:
Customisable Jersey home and away. It could easily go on the teams homepage under their press blog and would look really cool.
Extra Site Skin Colors for supporters. There are 5 choices now. How about giving supporters 100, 1000 or 10.7 million? Two colour combinations would be even cooler.
General Manager Face. Make a version of the face generator available to supporters and let them create themselves. This should also be on the front page and would fit neatly under the box with the country rank.
More trophies. This is discussed in other threads but people like trophies and a bunch of Tier 2 trophies would be cool like "All Star Game MVP", Rookie of the Year, etc.
The possibilities are endless.
