I'd go for 3-2 with decent OD players at PG, SG and SF. Even though patient is a balanced offense, it tends to find the player with the highest JS of the team. So 3-2 is a pretty safe bet, because when his best player shoots from outside, he will be guarded by players with good OD and if his best player attacks inside, you'd have your bigs there for him. But if you don't have good OD players to play from 1 to 3, then placing your best defender at PF on defense then going M2M would work as well (should he play the shooter at PF).
