If you ever want to come to a tough league, V.89 is your best destination. hrudey, my league can't promote out of here with some scrubs. You have to earn it by buying some 85k salary. You basically have to have 85k+ salary at minimum to win my league. CRF Flamengo is going to the extremes. I'm building. you also have to have a 6k+ arena to even strive down here. V.89 don't play thats all I know........you either getting 10kers, or you're gonna stay there for a long time, next year will be the toughest year in V.89 for sue, my Great 8 has 7/8 teams active. that's a lot of competition and tearing people apart right? then if the Big 8 even has 5 teams active, then V.89 will be hell............(turn to hell) with about 12 active teams and maybe more so.................V.89 is like TOp10 in my opinion when it comes to D5 leagues, and da magician, go over there band see how you will be challenged. hrudey can beat you by 80. Tangosz by 100. They'd kill you. I can even beat you by 40-50+ with my roster. This game is about aren and balance. your team doesn't have neither. Do this:

invest in your draft: with your second pick your bound to get a stud (MVP-ATG) so invest heavily in scouting next week and hope and prey to find and interveiw a 5 ball potential guy.....

get 3 trainees of 1 position (guard or big) and then train them for 1 season while build the arena to 8k. [Note: get P.all star+] (if you did land a stud from the draft, get two more guys to train with that player, remember, the position is based on height not position when he came out the draft)

Then after you have got the arena to that capacity, sell one of your trainees. Keep the otehr two and keep training those players. If you sell the stud from the draft you'll have about 800k-1MIL in your bank. and also have two players that are good for a potent Starter backup rotation. If you sell the P. Allstar then you'll have about 300-450k which is still good enough to get someone.

Buy: Now that you got your cash, buy a counter [player opposite of your trainees] that are of 10-20k salary and of 30 years and less of age. Use all your cash if you have to.

WIN: now that you got your D4 potential Roster go out there and win some games, the more wins you get=more fans more fans=more cash more cash=bigger advantage. and you'll eventually get out of D5 through bot cleanup or winning it all......

Right, some salary efficient 8-10k guys, definitely. A 77k donkey, no. The exact salary range you'll need will likely vary some from league to league, but getting out of V requires gameshape management, understanding the benefits of banking enthusiasm, and getting players that can do a lot for a low salary.

right on man! My league's average player salary right now is about 12-15k, for the moment......but once me and Cometahalley, it'll SPIKE up literally, like an average salry would be like 16k-20k Cause of Chicago Scrappers guys and the 76ersss new acquisitions . New York Ballers #1, Highrollers, and sunrise ballers are waiting for the season to end to begin there run for the championship. Bode Diggity Dogs is unfortunately doing this Monster stuff he got a 75ker but nothing else and keeps getting stuck. he's gonna be there for his 7th Season and hopefully he can learn from his mistakes. So now my league (especially the great 8) will have some massive guys that should compete at D4 rather than D5, that's why I worry of teams that have 5k arenas.....it just will make em go in red while trying to win it. Ima post something in the league forum about how to promote once I beat Bodes. hope they read it.........cause V.89 is gonna have some competiton for sure. wish everyone luck down there.......again right on TIEing, and managing with useful 8-15kers is a good idea......

oh I pay attention to my arena. what you can't can't pay attention to is players. I my league we always get that new signee that makes it difficult for teams to promote. S19 it was me. S20 it's cometahalley. S18 is was the Red Peppers. But listen. You can't survive in my league with the way things are going. My league already made it clear: It's an Offensive League with people scoring. I myself like scoring, run up the score all day Not that big on Defense unless I'm training a guy (i.e. Val Delong) Who has SB and ID at a potent level where he be a beast in the seasons to come........My heavy focus is Offense and I don't mind if I have to pay a little more for it as long as my arena is ready enough and I make 30+k a week (which I'm doing)
:)

No one in my league has taken defense into account at all........Offense wins games, but when I get defense later on it'll when me a championship.............kinda Reversed what you did. Defense I'll do that later on in the higher divsions, but now I just love to beat teams up by 50 every night

When I get to D4, I know Ima have to umph the tempo...........cause D4 is about youth.

In my opinion these are my things of what every division is:
D5; Scoring, beat em by 50+ every game and do it with authority!
D4; Youth, getting younger while still competiting, very challenging and fun
D3: Enth. Focus on enth. management to win in D3
D2: DEFENSE! I know D3 has a ittle defense but in D2 you have to have defense to really win a Golden trophy
D1: Balance and cash well in order to be the best of the best you're gonna have to make a balanced team of defense, scoring, passing, etc. and have the money in your pocket to do it.........

Still I'm a scoring team you'll never be able to change it.....and V>89 scoring too.....

FYI My defense is #1.....but I ly heavily on scoring too, cause 4/5 of my starters have proficient plus D. highest being ten. (Catandil and Coleman, and 11 ID for SF Devallee)

My question is mainly, if I had to put a SG to defend against the top scorer (who is also at the SG position), should I have used a SG defender with

1. more OD than ID?
2. more ID than OD?
3. equal OD and ID?
4. other alternatives?

In this match, my SG defenders had more OD than ID, and my SF, PF, and C had great ID.
