did you use the new site? if your current prices show as X than that is the current price... if you changed prices, but the current price didn't change than the changes didn't go through.. probably because you were using the old site, but maybe for some other reason.. the bug is that your price changes didn't affect what was displayed as current price i imagine.

What about when you play anybody who isn't your best player? That will result in worse mechandise, too, so we should be able to play our best 5 guys always! This game is not about allowing you to do the easiest most effective most profitbale thing all of the time. One of the great things about this game is that you have to make managerial decisons that affect your team and your franchise.

If you want very high merchandise revenue, play your best players 48 minutes a game every game. Then you will make the optimum merchandise revenue. But your GS will drop your team will ose and you will nto make any money at the gate.

Besides, how much do you think you will lose by playing players out of position? $1000 a week? so raise your bleacher prices a dollar. Also, by training your players in a balanced fashion you keep their salaries lower ( definitely) and increase their effectiveness on the court (supposedly) so you are making money in the long run.

Thats what I've been doing since the start, it just takes soooo much longer. Hope it pays off soon. Perhaps I'll even reach playoffs. ...what? promotion?! nah... get out of here.... ;)

Just to be clear on thnigs, I am not whining, but it would be nice to know on what premises merchandise are based on. Like thenewchuckd asked:

Is it based purely on league games or is tournament games included?

If it is purely league games it is possible to play the best players about 65 minutes, building GS and getting decent stats. Also, since this is a game of vast possibilities and managerial choices, not everyone has a Best 5. Some of my guys are so even matched it makes little difference who I start with. We are not asking about the whole code, but what would be reasonable to presume. (In real life I don't perform any sport (except TKD) or have been a fan of any sport before BB led me into the world of basketball. I am sure I am not the only one that doesn't have the prerequisites to assume this by ourselves).

Right. I doubt the BB's are going to give away much info since they rarely do. My opinion is that the merchandise money will be calculated using several factors. Among these I believe will be statistics, nationality, membership in NT, minutes played, and skills. Mind you, I have no idea about this, but this is my educated guess. I do not know if cup games will be included but I doubt it because then your merch rev would drop dramatically once the cup is finished unless they reworked the formula which seems like a lot of work.

That's what I am trying to get at. I don't know if what you say is true. If I play my best players, my scoring will be really balanced and none of my guys will get great stats. Also, what stats have to be great?

Best players when? In just my league games? Or do Cup games matter, too?

As someone said at my management meeting yesterday, the devil is in the details. And I don't think this is one of those things that the BBs should let us figure out on our own.

There are many things about the game for which we don't give all the intricate details to the formula, we will give you another set of guiding principles when this is released today, but some of the details, like which things matter more than others will be left to you to try to optimize the tradeoffs, fans aren't gonna tell you why they are buying jerseys, you just have to try to figure out how to maximize jersey sales given the things you can control.
