Lots of jelous janes in this game. I don't think they bode well for the future.
They want stasis with constant driving out of people who do things they don't like. And thats it.

If one was to look at the AFL (Thats Australian Rules Football to you non Aussies), coaches have evolved the game and have come up with new game styles that have superseded tactics that used to be dominant.

i.e. the huddle, zoning, blocking, rotation of players, resting players forward, interchanges etc

Accuracy of kicking is more important than what it was 5 years ago,
Full forwards no longer stay in the goal square, mid fielders are becoming taller and have more endurance, sports science has also become involved.

Point im trying to make is that whilst I think it would be great if the optimum strength of all offences were roughly equal, (and in my opinion work done in this area is needed), we have to also be careful that we dont stifle the "creative" juices of the innovative Managers who might otherwise train up players with specific skills sets that could take the game to another level and beat the tactics or skills sets that are dominant for a period of time

Thanks for your time replying with your thoughts.

I agree that it is important that potential new users have their expectations managed.

this game is a long term strategic management game and not a "twitch" fast moving game where a new user could possibly expect to be winning B3 overnight.

I suggest we market it as a strategic game and that consideration is given to developing Youtube interviews/training material.

Laptops and computers are quicky becoming yesterdays technology and this trend will continue.

With regards to getting new players involved in league forums, why not light up the "league" when there is unread league forum posts, in the left hand menu like what happens when their is an unread bbmail (just a crazy thought)

be nice if we could get some big name celebtrity or basketballing personality endorsing the game or even playing the game under their own name.

again I appreciate your thoughts and the time and honesty you have put into posting them

Second Team:
Yuckville Cass
The number one thing that needs to be improved, which was not covered in the poll, is time. It takes more than two full calendar years real life time to train a player up from age 18 into a fully developed talent. This is the most unattractive aspect of the game.

First of all, this is a ridiculous amount of time to expect anyone just joining the game to commit to

Secondly, should you actually accomplish this, you don't have time to train a second set fully before the first set starts skill deterioration. Basically, it isn't even possible to train a complete roster in house and be competitive. Currently, you can train a set then you are forced to dip into the TL to put a team around your homegrown players.

I really think training speed needs to be cut in half. In real life, most players are nearly fully developed by age 22 or 23. If BB matched that it would be actually attractive to build your own team. Teams that have made it to the top, have almost zero interest in a full rebuild under current structure. It should be possible to build your own team through the draft and development and not required to rely on free agency in order to compete. Easily the biggest road block in managers staying long term.

Cut training time directly in half and watch the interest in the game grow.
