I see. So having only a few studs in the team is a bad idea, since starting a player in every game of the week will result in 80+ minutes.

Well its a bit easier now your out of the cup and can just use your scrubs in the scrimmage game. If u start a 'stud' both league games with a backup hopefully he would play less then 80 minutes. I rarely go over 80 minutes doing that most of the time its low 70s.

Yep, it can be hard to balance your best players when you have 2 league games and a cup game to think about, but when you're out of the cup it becomes easier.

Depending on what option you choose for substitutions will effect your playing minutes of players during the game. You will get the hang of it after a while.

ok.. I will use scrimmages as a way to put minutes up for my bench and give some rest for my starters.

...and most importantly you need to become a supporter to get your beautiful picture back. It was very restful. :)

Ok I have found a MUCH more silly player on a startup team. Seriously I just don't know how this is fair. After more than a season this new team gets given a guy who is worth more than my whole team! I guess this team can just destroy every other team it meets for the next two seasons if it plays its cards right.

EDIT: Please do not post players on the TL

He could be yours but is currently selling for 4.5 MILLION dollars! Why do some startup teams get rubbish (one of my friends had exactly one player from his original team that was worth keeping) while others get this? Personally I did ok with quite a few good players on my team, 4 of which I still have and play. But 4.5 million...sigh.

Is he selling for that much or is that just the price tag the owner has put on him? He's a decent rookie to pick up but he's really not that great. Big men will cost too much to reach any potential that high so i wouldn't rate that part too high.

The rest of his skills are ok but we've a plethora of big men with no outside skills already.

I'd be surprised if he went as high as 2mil really.

I basically didnt have anyone that was really good in my startup team. Ive bought 4/5 starters and its barely been a week since I started.

Randomking333 you are right your team is unimpressive although even though your players seem bad they may still have the numbers where they need them most and be ok players. A couple of the guys you have purchased seem ok.

You will need to get at least someone who is worth training. I think an 18 year old all star salary 3500+ or a 19 year old perennial all star salary 4000+ would be the bare minimum. Your "best" trainee at the moment probably is

Teimua Forbes (12544588) Center
Weekly salary: $ 3 193
DMI: 9000
Age: 19
Height: 7'0" / 213 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: respectable

and I think you could pick up much, much better prospects for way less than $100,000.

wow.. really?.. thats great.. I will keep my eye out on the Transfer market.

More urgently, I was buying players I could immediately insert into my starting lineup. They're doing quite well. Now, a trainee might be the way to go. I have about 100k-150k to spend on a trainee.

Might you have a good idea of what type of player trains fastest? (bigmen, shooting guards etc).
And what attributes should I expect out of a player I spend 100k to 150k on?
