I'm just saying that I don't think the BBs wanna completely get rid of a staff member. I know you have absolutely zero tolerance for this as Goddard just went down for four weeks, I can't believe your luck by the way....

Searching through and reading the suggestions on this forum post because I was wanting to put in a suggestion for adding more injuries. Now before everyone gets in an uproar, I was thinking of adding a suggestion similar to Wolph's here.

First of all lets look at how our season compares to an NBA season. One of our games equals 3.72 games in the NBA (82/22=3.72). With knowing that we can adjust how long our injuries would compare to the NBA. If a player here had a 1 week injury he would be looking at missing between 2 and 4 games. In the NBA, that would compare to 7.45 to 14.9 games. NBA teams play between 3-4 games a week. So by comparison, the player would miss 2-4 weeks in the NBA. Quite a difference when put into perspective.

What I would like to see here is additional injury types added such a 1 game, 2 games, and Day-to-Day. The 1 and 2 game injury lengths I think are self explanatory, as for the Day-to-Day I would like to see the player have the ability to go into the game but at reduced abilities and severely reduced stamina.

I believe that with this idea we could actually increase the rate of injuries, thus adding a little more realism to the game, while also reducing the hindrance this places on a team.d


Along with this suggestion, I believe that there should be an option for renting a player, similar to to 12 day contracts the NBA has. Of course the only way to do this is by having a qualifying player with an injury, the rented player would have to have a lower salary than the injured player, and each league would also have to have a salary ceiling for these types of players.

I don't like the idea of renting players. Even now teams rent players for important games.
Injuries are simple. The higher the doctor level, the less injuries stick/last.

oh, this is snarkiness, that explains it.

the bulls analogy is tempered by the fact that tom thibodeau runs his players in the ground. my entire team is on a strict BB enforced minutes limit.

I don't mind the 1 week or even 2 week injuries....But I think the 4 week and 5 week injuries are silly. In real life the NBA is a 82 game marathon. BB, its a 22 game sprint. Last season I had a 5 week injury in my U-21 team and it killed me.
How about this....instead of weeks they could say GAMES...like a 3 game injury or something like that. Much better I think.

Thought the max was four weeks? I've never seen four injuries at the same time. Sure it's happened.
