It's pretty hard to take much out of play in D.5
Who said anything about diivision 5?

Heading on the right path so far. Are you?

OMG...I am just browsing this...
Too late, the conversation has moved on, on topic, without your off-topic rant or your ad hominem attacks, neither of which added anything to the thread.

Maybe you have a thought about this ...
Ok but it looked like you presented the situation as either "overpay" or "refuse to overpay and train" while not competing. Maybe I misunderstood, but I agree in general this is the current situation.

To be fair I have trained out of position most of my first D1 season (this season, playing Cs at PG) and I'm second in the standing in my conference, so I should not have made a case against the possibility of competing and training (2 trainees). I think it requires some courage, a bit of knowledge of the game and the right trainees, because you are probably trading away victories for a whim.

I've mostly been forced to go that way out of fear I'd cap my guy and he's just the second trainee I really care about (although the Utopia mob is getting there). I bought him like this 5-6 weeks into his 18yo season and think guy like him should be affordable even now.

I have never not trained. And over my BB career I have managed to be fairly competitive (won Naismith, made B3 etc.).

I really don't understand how people play this game and don't train. It is far from perfect but is what really makes this game enjoyable.

wow. a 33y center with 230k salary, injured for 3 more weeks, went for 700k. That's basically 1.5mil, since he won't be playing until next season..

But he is not going to pay his wages, so it's not 1.5 millions. Check his team.

I see now, I didn't check.

Lol, I was planning to do that :) But nevermind, he would kill my merchandise anyway.

On that note, I've seen my merchandise increasing to 123k, after I stripped my team to original players/draftees. Last season it was at 66k, after buying new players. Pretty large difference, I wonder how much would it be if I trained let's say 2-3 200k NT stars.
