I am surprised that a handful of managers would want to give the impression that the whole BB community are in favour of raising the server. But I rather have the feeling that this does not correspond to reality with the opinion of the whole BB world. This would be a very drastic change for the game either way and I think it is very unrealistic, because not only would the danger be very big that the big core of managers would leave the game, but also the game would be technically at its limits (programming and every problem would lead to many consequences).
I have experienced a similar situation with another browser game. There, there is only one game per week for the vast majority and at the beginning of the season the cup games, which later become friendlies. So, two games per week. The developers of this game have experimented and set up a second server and halved the length of a season. Today, this experiment is considered a complete failure. Only 0.33% of the managers (from the main server) also play in the fast server, while the vast majority prefer to continue playing in the classic server.
A look at Hattrick shows, however, how this problem can be tackled: Hattrick has significantly increased the number of compulsory matches by introducing several cup matches with different strengths, so that the number of compulsory matches during the week remains constant at 2, at least at the beginning of the season. So I rather support the idea of introducing more must-win games in Buzzerbeater for Thursday. The only question is in which format and which teams could participate.
It would be conceivable to introduce an International League in such a way that all teams of the same league level that have not become champions or cup winners and have finished 2nd to 4th in the league can participate. Then there would be an International League of the 1st Division, then an International League of the 2nd Division and possibly the third Division. The mode could be similar to that of the BBB.
