What are people's thoughts on the new Achievements feature?
I personally think it is cool, and adds a bit of fun to the game.
Although, I think it would be nice if there were rewards for completing achievements.

Also, congrats to Yoda for having the most points in Australia!

The entire feature is 'borrowed' from HT.

If they're anything like the HT achievements, they're something that 99% of players will look at once or twice and then forget about. I'd rather see some actual gameplay features added instead of these. I've been playing for almost two years and in that time I can't recall one single 'gameplay' feature that has been introduced.

Nice to see they've started addressing the clear advantages gained in finishing 5th. I hope they continue to work on this, as one change alone isn't going to make a huge difference. I'm glad they've done something though, as it shows they at least consider it a flaw in the current game.

Thanks but it is a bit embarassing. Clearly mllama, Direwolf, Whitebeard and even Bryce Gibbs has achieved a lot more than me.

One thing that I did wonder about after all the pain was the flag chase and this has made it clear.

All flags (H or A) | Level 5 | 12/4/2012 | 106 Teams Awarded.

Only 106 teams have gone through all the pain of getting all the flags. It was hell but now I feel so liberated.

I have pretty much given up on the flag chase in the last month or so..

but maybe this new achievement challenge can rejuvenate my desire a bit.

Having a bunch of scrimmages from various countries? 40 points.

Day trading? 16 points
