Going to try to make him into a true SF, the height is perfect for the team plan I have in place, if I do keep him he will be a very important part in whether my team can succeed this season, and in the future.

My opinion he won't be a true SF. OD is way to low just like ID and IS. Best to train as a guard mainly focusing on OD and a little JR

As the manager above me said you, you would need lots of trainings to make this player into a true SF.

First his OD is really low and then his ID-IS are also really low, not to talk about his stamina-FT. It would be better to buy a rookie to train him as a SF with better skills.

I've thought about putting him as a guard, but some of his skills can really be beneficial for him in the long run, such as the respectable shotblocking & medicore rebounding, with the passing being respectable.

What I was thinking of doing was pumping jump shot for awhile, should I focus on his defenses this early on into the training?

I would focus on the defense first. Bad offensive performances by one player doesn't hurt your team too much; the game engine is good enough for not having him attempt too many shots; and this guy already has some offensive potential with his JS and Passing. But if he has defensive deficiencies, these will be mercilessly exploited by the opponents. If you want to be competitive, in lower leagues in particular, you need to have a watertight defense first (at least, compared to your league strength) and focus on the offensive game afterwards.

I see, thanks for the reply, I did notice in my first game which I put some experimental players out there a long with some rookie to see how they perform that my SF was fouling a lot(fouled out at 39 mins I believe) and his opposition was shooting lights out, whether it be from 2 or 3. I'll definitely work on his defenses then, as whenever he is out there he is quite vulnerable, and those skills need to be dramatically worked on :), what would you suggest I get outside defense to before switching to inside defense or jump shot? Currently my training option is set at two position(SG/SF) training for Jump Shot, switching to Pressure, should I probably put this SF in at PG, and one position train? Most of my players are 21+ that would be used in training, with the other under 20 that would be effected in this training is a 20 year old SF who hasnt been trained really much, that is built like a SG and could probably use the outside defense training, and could atleast provide a decent effort at PG(Would probably use this 20 year old in weak games/scrimmages). Sorry for the long situation explanation, thanks for the info!

Single position train Pressure then, up until this guy gets about proficient OD. He'll need more OD later, but at proficient he should be able to be a defensive asset, getting steals and stopping opponents from scoring.
