It was pretty effective YC/Wolph. For 80% of the game, we were going toe-to-toe with a team that would consider themselves a "contender".
That's a good thing, despite the loss.
And I really don't give a damn what designation players have besides their name, whatever works best. C'mon Wolph - we're talked MANY times about the necessity for us as a nation to think/operate outside the box. Last night was the first time we've actually *done* that. And to a large extent, it was fairly effective.

I will also state that I'm not entirely comfortable discussing this in an open forum...

I liked the fact that it wasn't a BLANK LINE UP....Swoosh got into auto pilot way tooooo much last season.
And Malice....I thought what he did last was cool, just didn't know what everyone was talking about when they were talking about TACTICS...It was LI and a M2M....Just didn't think that changing the starting 5 was considered a tactic.

Again - reiterating that I don't like speaking about the specifics in an open forum - but he didn't just "change the starting 5". I feel you're being somewhat dismissive due to earlier beefs. He took a chance, and it paid off - it's been a while since we've had a roster set that's gone against the regular BB mindset. To state that it was just "changing the starting 5" is being unfair.

Now... it's still only one game. There's a lot of work to be done... so I'm definitely not heralding it as the second coming - but I like the start.

*ALL HAIL TSUNAMI!!!!*
Using Tsunami at SF would be outside the norm...because most teams simply don't have an SF and very few if any have an SF like Tsunami. They have dudes with no JR and no SB that are listed as PGs or listed at PFs that they use at SF...like we did that game...

Damn...Talking trash about the player who was above Tsunami in the boxscore....Crazy!!
3 blocks last night for the NT team...Asano had 2 of them...but you still talk trash...that is sad..You are talking trash about another player who is on the same NT . Makes me want to puke. And I am sure most BIG COUNTRY NT teams have much better SFs than Tsunami the god of all SFs. Talk about tooting your own horn.. Dialog from last nights game chat...
Wolph: Tsunami is popping like crazy man...he has no cap..133 TSP and still going.
Me: Yeah..Asano is getting some pops..
Wolph: That is BS man. His name isn't Tsunami. He can't pop even know he is an MVP and only one year older:
Me: Dude. That is crazy. Asano is still popping. He will get an IS,OD,Passing and SB pop this season.
Wolph: Hell no man. He isn't going to pop anymore. But Tsunami is going to pop in JS,JR,SB,REB,Passing,OD all before the Allstar break....
Me; OK...Whatever...I got to go and do something......See ya..

Not at all.. That beef is over. BUT besides Asada(great pickup BTW coach) and dumping Furusawa(another great thing) they were all the same players. The biggest thing for me was the NO BLANK...That was huge and he got my YES vote for not being a mindless ROBOT.

BTW...Did you read Wolph's Tsunami post? I am wiping puke off my keyboard as I type this.

I'm trying reeeeeeeeal hard to ignore wolph/Toranaga's trippin' out on their players this season. Part of a self-help therapy.

Look: since I've been here, LI's been king, and we've been playing the LI/M2M game with our NTs. And you/Wolph might think "big-deal-so-what" about what was done last night, but as yet not a single NT coach in Nippon has had the cojones to try do something like last night out.
That's all... but I think it deserves acknowledgment.

Calm down dude...1/2 a season ago when you talked about how Asano was creeping up on 120 TSP, TrollKing called you on lying about your players stats and you come out saying he's popped all day long for the last season but if that were true...he would be at 120 by now. So either you lied about his total back then, or you have lied about how many pops he got lately, in either case he just barely passed 115, not creeping up on 120 like you said....1/2 a season ago....

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!! Dude...That was three weeks that I said Asano was creeping up on the 120 mark. 3 weeks is half a season??? Only to a crack head....You better get off that crack rock...they say it makes time really fly.
