Quick overview of the eight teams who comprise the purple quarter of the draw.

I have added the players salaries up via a calculator so it is possible that keyboard entry mistakes could have occurred

Please note that teams salaries are not necessarily an accurate indication as to how good a team is and that injuries and purchase can still occur in the next 2 days.

Also I havent studied recent form, players gameshapes or likely team enthusiam levels



BK Astoria Lučenec (58545) Team is from Slovensko and is ranked 6th in the world and was formed in season 13. Team has played in B3 on 4 previous occasions and last season missed the round of 32 after getting 6 wins in the round robin stage. Team has had a best finish of final 8 which it achieved in season 26. Total salaries are approximately $717,231

the ragin stajans (33578) Are from Canada and are currently ranked 46th in the world and was formed in season 11 and have previously made B3 on one previous occasion which was back in season 21 when they missed the final 32 despite getting 6 wins in the round robin games. They have total salaries of $1,115,0834

Vottem Cowboys (37519) Team is from Belgium and is currently ranked 3rd in the world, Started in season 5 & has reached B3 16 time previously, best performance has reached final 4 on 3 occasions. Last season the team made the final 16. Approximate weekly players salaries of $937,367 which is up considerably from last seasons $696,544

Sokovichok (39417) is from Rossiya and is currently ranked world number 105. Formed in season 3 and has previously made it to B3 on 4 previous occasions the team has never made it to the final 32 previously and last participated in B3 back in season 22. Total team salaries are $992,326

Talentinho (92835) is from the Nederland and is the current world number 93. Formed in season 3 the team has only been to B3 once before which was back in season 20 when they had 6 losses in the group stage. The team has current player salaries of $793,024

ESV Laim (26163) The 3rd of the immortals, this team is the current 5th highest ranked team in the world and is from Deutschland and started in season 1, Has participated in B3 on 19 previous occasion, with a best performance of being the winner of B3 in season 11 - last season they made the final 8. Approximate weekly players salaries of $702,984 which is well down from last seasons $966,994 at this time

|Sharpshooters| (24801) are from Brasil and are currently ranked 9th in the world and were formed in season 9. This is the 2nd time that the team has played in B3. Last season they missed the final 32 after getting 6 wins in the round robin games. Total player salaries add to approximately $814,685

Minskie Parni (185844) is from Belarus and is currently ranked 17th in the world and was formed in season 13. The team has reached B3 on 3 previous occasions being the last 3 seasons. Last season they missed the round of 32 after getting 6 wins in the round robin stage and back in season 27 they had their best finish which was final 4. Total salaries add to approximately $874,922

Speculative odds and "punters guide" for this seasons B3

Please note that players can get injured and that teams can add to their rosters in the next couple of days and or sell players, all of which would dramatically change their odds



airsjordans (76585) Solid roster and are in the relatively soft light blue section of the draw, players in good game shape and solid player ratings - Likely to play last years runner up in final 16 and could cause an upset in such a game 12 to 1
SUPERLIGOTA (55675) Respectable roster and good gameshapes. I dont expect them to beat airjordans.

DK Shaolins (208484) Good gameshapes but cheapish roster, cant see beating KS Goldena in first round
1000 to 1
KS Goldena (162456) Proven performer and solid roster. Roster is in good gameshape but currently lacks some depth- might struggle to get past the round of 16 unless they add to their squad. 12 to 1
Mafia (44453) Solid roster with good gameshape. Despite being in a relatively soft quarter of the draw I cant envisage them going too far in this tournament. Tough task being up against the expensive Dutch Pacers roster first up 33 to 1
Dutch Pacers (38253) Ginormous roster with 8 solid players and quite good rankings. Likely to be the team that progresses from the light blue section of the draw. A real chance to be prominent at the end of this tournament provided they dont go bankrupt. 5 to 2
Club Atlético River Plate (60116) Okay roster under the 800K mark but in good gameshape. Some respectable player rankings but I cant see them going too far in this tournament 100 to 1
kokosari (119236) A respectable roster but with a few game shape concerns. A great effort last week to knock last seasons winners out. Not convinced that they can win the tournament 20 to 1
Macabi Haase (38036) Solid roster of largely home grown players in good game shape. Not sure that they have the ability to go all the way and tough opponent first up 33 to 1
猛牛 (70015) Proven quality performer with a solid roster in good gameshape. Hard to read form as has had an easy run in round robin games. One of the chances but not sure that they can win. 5 to 1
İncow Sk (71709) Solid roster in good gameshape. Not convinced that they can go all the way 20 to 1
KK Mordor (42729) Cheapish roster which lacks depth. Had some great wins in the round robins but hard to see them winning this tournament 250 to 1
Boston Celtics (26862) Quality proven performer who I underestimated last season. Easy first up game and a chance to win through from the green quarter of the draw. I cant see them winning this seasons tournament but ive been wrong about them before 8 to 1
TeemoBoyz (85705) Crippled by an injuries and will get knocked out in the first week 1000 to 1
BC RV [team= 50332] Million dollar roster with good depth & gameshape and capable of mixing up the game tactics. Has to be respected and a definite chance to win through from the green quarter of the draw 8 to 1
Portugal Telecom (39037) Tough opponent first up but have a solid roster in good gameshape who had some great victories in the round robin stage. 33 to 1

Punters guide to season 29 continued

ThunderClap (107436) Cheapish roster with some gameshape issues and playing world number 1 first up. Looking elsewhere. 2500 to 1
Młoty Stargard (162788) sold a player yesterday and unless they buy another I cant see them winnning the tournament. Rankings out perform the value of the roster and the team needs to be respected 6 to 1
吉吉 (214561) Cheapish roster which lacks depth. Looking elsewhere 2500 to 1
I Love Tehran (146725) Proven past winner but has several players up for sale. Players might not sell given their asking price but even then the team would probably lack the depth to win this tournament 50 to 1
HGB Nerds (41937) solid roster with respectable depth and good game shape. Not sure that they have the class to win this tournament 50 to 1
Joué Basket Club (27378) Respectable roster with one injury but otherwise good game shape. Team is capable of some solid rankings but I cant see them winning this tournament 50 to 1
hopelessly addicted (38913) Manager hasnt recovered from loss to Boston Celtics in the round of 32 last season. Team has not been set for this tournament and has its most expensive player in poor gameshape which will probably cost it any chance of causing the upset in the first round. Playing a team with a 1.6 mill roster first up. 50 to 1
Eži (147335) 1.6 mill roster and obvious ambition to win this tournament at their first attempt ironically playing a team first up that tried to do something similar last season. one injury and one player with gameshape issues. Team is yet to put out the ratings required to win this tournament but has to be respected given the expense of the roster. Definite chance to go all the way if they dont run into insolvency issues 4 to 1

the ragin stajans (33578) A 1.1 million roster with balance and depth and some solid player rating means that this team is in with a legitimate chance of progressing through the tournament. Likely to win through from the purple quarter of the draw. 7 to 2
Vottem Cowboys (37519) most expensive player has game shape issues which could expose their lack of depth. Cant see them progressing far in this tournament 40 to 1
Sokovichok (39417) Just under a mill in players salaries and has put out some respectable player ratings. I dont think they have the class to go all the way 20 to 1
Talentinho (92835) Not a hugely expensive roster and has one player with game shape issues. Had a wonderful draw in the round robin games which may have led to them being out of their depth at this stage of the tournament 1000 to 1
ESV Laim (26163) Past winner whos roster significantly falls away after the starting 5. Would need a lot of luck to progress far in this tournament but has a quality starting 5 in good gameshape. 20 to 1
|Sharpshooters| (24801) Moderate priced team with one injury and a little bit lack of depth. Dont think they have the quality of talent required to win this tournament 250 to 1
Minskie Parni (185844) Solid roster with good gameshape but possible lack of depth. Not good enough to go all the way 100 to 1

Ironic that the only 2 teams to have beaten me in B3 play each other in the first round.

Injuries have absolutely crippled you but I doubt that your team was good enough regardless. (To win the tournament)

Team salaries appear to total $1,031,596 which is up considerably from the salaries of $939,034 that they had at this stage last season . Edit after the sale of a player the team is down to $802,519 in salaries. Manager has probable cause to question my use of a calculator

I sell player 95k salary and my total salary down 1,031,596 to 802,519?

Your team is still capable of out performing a few of the teams with a couple of hundred K more in salaries.

Who are the 2 or 3 teams left that you rank the most likely to progress deep into the tournament?
