That is not right, enthusiasm gives you some added firepower for your defensive ratings and the rebounds. The attitude (TiE, Normal, CT) affects the percentage of made shots. So if you would have scored 40% when playing normal, you will score less when taking it easy. How much less I cannot tell and there is still a random factor involved.

Just my two cents ;)

Ok, for the effect of enthusiasm:
That enthusiasm and Home Court Advantage helps your defense and your rebounds I gathered from the 'coach parrot'-tool. There is a thread in BB Global containing the links and all. It seems like HCA and enthusiasm work the same way, I think this is the reason why National Team Games and All-Star Games tend to be high-scoring games (as they are played on neutral ground and nobody receives a defensive boost).

The effect of attitude is more difficult:
I was speaking mainly from experience here. I remember a thread in the help forum where people claimed that CT or TiE affect your FG percentage. I couldn't find it as the help forum is one big graveyard. What I found however was a post from GM-kozlodoev (36151.27) and he stated in his second comment that 'more things will go in your favor' (when playing with a higher attitude). So it would not only affect the field goal percentage, but also blocks, steals and so on.
Plus I realise that many people are complaining about their lost games in this very thread when they played with a lower attitude than their opponents. In my opinion this stems from the 'invisibility' of attitude in the team ratings.

That's all I can provide as a proof of what I said. It's only my opinion and so I wrote it were just my two cents ;)

Cheers, Exos

about the shooting %, I'm not sure. I just took a look at my games and saw that I do between 40% and 50% FG
and it's all with Take It Easy. Following that logic I would have had 55-60% with normal and crunch...

might be, wouldn't know though, haven't used CT for the last 4 or 5 seasons, except in playoff

Thank you for taking the time to reply and explain. I am going to look through my own games and do an analysis of TIE vs Normal, I too do not CT anymore except in the playoffs. Learned that the hard way in my first season. I have been using Joseph's Ka's spreadsheet and I do notice the change in different enthusiasm levels of course but I was just not sure that using TIE with high levels of enthusiasm actually relatively decreased your JS, blocks and steal percentages. What I have noticed is that TIEing with enthusiasm of 8 is roughly equal to playing with normal 5 in the results I see from my own games. Anything above 8 is a real benefit and can make a big difference. I am sure there is a break even point where your enthusiasm is high enough to make up and surpass any reduction from using TIE. Again thanks for your reply and I will do a very small sample of my own games and if I find anything contradictory I will repost.

I think the GE just picked a winner out of a hat and decided to make the most ridiculous way of beating me. I was simply too good for them all around for them to beat me outright so it just makes me inexplicably turn the ball over against a Man to Man defense. My SF and SG who commit no more than 2 TOs per game both reach season highs with 6 and 7. They also somehow barely beat me on the offensive glass despite me being superior in that aspect, however I don't care about that as much as the random turnovers. This is the first game I've had where I really cannot explain why this happened.

I can.

Rule nÂș 1 of this new game engine:

Don't play inside if you don't have offensive flow.
