I lost my first finals game by three points (his court) using Motion. when i used princeton in my second game I won by eleven points. He used 1-3-1 in the first game and man-to man in the sceond one. I have strong OS and inept IS. Both tactics gave me very similar results ( except in pace). but with motion I had a higher 3pt % while I had an overall better Fg % with Princeton. i also shot 18 more foul shots with princeton (in part due to intentional fouling at the end of the game). I also noticed that my Power Forward took alot more inside shots and assisted mid range jumpers with princeton. I think it is important that the PF must be a solid post player and a decent jump shooter but not necessarily from long range. My tiebraker is tommorow but I am not sure what to use.

Thanks for posting the results.

I think the HCA made the difference between loss and win in these matches. It is interesting that your 3pt% was worse when you played princeton while his defense was MTM instead of 1-3-1....(so a lot less outside minded).

It's interesting that your PF made a lot of inside shots and mid-range jumpers, since my PF should have done allright in this as well. I thought that maybe his poor driving skills cost him a lot of points. How's your driving skills of your PF?

I think the motion tactic was actually still your better tactic but that the Home Court Advantage and his different choice in defense won you the match at home.

Your opponent might switch back to a 1-3-1 or 3-2 since he got a better result with that one, so I'm not sure what would be best for you to use either.

Princeton works well against FCP. That's the only time I use it.

well i wob my final game 90-80 with princeton but my opponent didnt really play his best tactics so i dont know.

Your 3pt% was pretty nice this time. Also I'm surprised to see how well your defense did although it was completely the wrong choice.

Princeton seems to have worked for you at least in this last match.

hey mate... i have been playing with the idea to use princeton as well... I think the real problems comes with the SF and PF positions. Less the SF and more the PF position. I had 4 great guards with very little ID, IS and RB skills. You just would miss these skills too much. Because you want to just rely on 1 big ID or 1 RB guy??? I am going to train my guards in these skills, now they are all inepts. Lets hope I can get them to proficient or so and lets see what than happens...

I wanted to add something to make clear what I mean. If you play a normal tactic your SF usually is the most balanced player, or should be right? I think when you play princeton you need to have 2 balanced players, the SF and PF to make this tactics work. When you do have this, I believe you are almost unstopable...

The thing is that Princeton is the slowest offensive tactic, so you really need defense, not so much rebounding. I have been having alot of success with Princeton. I think Princeton will work as an offensive tactic if: all your players have good driving (especially2-4) and passing skills, you have a really good post player (center) and a power forward that is good in pretty much every offensive skill and 3 players that can consitently nail 3 pointers. I had to make some roster changes in order to adjust my roster because I too train gaurds.
