Exactly! I'm not really sure why the the games aren't run with the present game engine. Does anyone see any reason why this couldn't be done?

I thought the reason it is run in an older version of the GE was because it's arcade-mode, but then that doesn't make sense; PL games are arcade-mode, and they use the present GE.

I wouldn't mind seeing it competitive (i.e., both teams don't have 90 friggin points at halftime), and I also wouldn't mind having an MVP of the game. It would also be nice, as someone said, to have these games tie into a team's weekly merch revenue. You know, like real life.

Maybe we ask too much? It is definitely confusing to me...

Well, I'll start by saying that I've always heard that BB is not to mimic the NBA, so meh.

To this end, what you say is true, but to a point. Everyone knows the ASG in the NBA is a showcase, pure and simple. The added bonus for winning isn't really much to entice a all star to try hard. The game itself is horrible to watch, and I *may* check in at the end to see if it's close or anyone got hurt.

But all the surrounding events are important, mostly to the host city and the NBA. Lots of publicity for the league, and money for the city. And I'm sure that teams do get some boost from being able to boast an all star or two. Also, it is sorta important to players.. why else would they complain when not selected? Bonuses, ego, et al.. for whatever the reason, they do want to be recognized. Now, the problem is, this doesn't translate easily/well into the Buzzerbeater world.. and that's fine. I just wish there was a little bone that could be thrown your way to try and get teams to perhaps want all stars on their team. I know, I know, winning should be enough.. but we all hear about how the devs want to make it better to win and have a better team than not. This is one small way they could do so because I do believe team success plays into if a player gets votes.

I wasted time going through my players looking for it in their histories. I'm a dumbass.

While doing that, though, I noticed that unless the player wins the MVP award at the end of the season, he's listed as finishing 0 in the MVP voting. Given how well this is working, I have my doubts about any extra info in the player page working correctly.
