Yeah, I plan on doing a salary update before the ASB and right before the playoffs. We'll see what changes.

We had to pick a team name for bar bowling and I thought about using Hoofhearted Icemelted, because it's just that damn funny, but I went with a combination of two awesome singers in their day, Tina Turner and Roger Daltrey.

So we are called "Tina Daltrey".......

get it?

I like how talkative our new guys are.

My take is that I absolutely have the best deal on my team. I get more out of my players per cost than teams that specialize in big me. Theoretically I can make more money off it and I think we all agree the key to this game is make more money than your opponent. Since I'm generally 2nd or 3rd in the division though you can make your own decision on where or not it works or just keeps you in the hunt. Oh and with my C and main source of ID/RB out, but you get what I'm saying. Effing Joe Kessler...

Well I don't know what I am going to do but will have to do something.

But even selling a big man would result in similar salary so who knows.

I like this.
It made me take a closer look at my team.

As i sit, I barely can afford 280k team salary. And i have one of the lowest paid team salaries in the league. In part its probably due to my lack of wins = decrease in gate receipts handed out each night.

My average salary per player is 35,114.25. However my big man is 115,555, 41.14% of my total salary. Meaning if I took him off, my average salary per player that plays would be 23,622.71. Is that an indication at all of how good my team is compared to others? Or is there any relevance at all in those numbers?

Granted, I am selling one of my 12k trainee guards and picking up a 20-50k paid center in a day or so, which could greatly boost my team and keep the salaries affordable.

As for the interconference play, it does mostly depend on the home/away scheduling, as the seasons go on, the tougher the league will become, which will then depend more and more on the scheduling.
Teams who have HCA will win more than those on the road as leagues even out in skill.

All that brings me to this...

10 teams have Centers as their highest paid player, averaging 28% of their team salary.

NY Wahoos have the highest at 52%, while Cheer has the lowest at 16%. Those two also represent the highest and lowest team salaries in the league. hmmm.

5 teams have Shooting Guards as their highest paid player, averaging 21% of their team salary.

Riders and Freaks share the highest at 23%, while Deronimo has the lowest at 18% of their team salary.

Only 1 team has Power Forward, The Fish. His salary is 25% of the teams total.

No teams have SF or PG.

My C is also only 9% of my total salary.

Deepest team in the league? My starters count for around 48% of my total salary. NY Wahoos have 1 player at half. Maybe most balanced? At a 7 deep roster my players are all betwen 9-18% of my roster.

On 2nd look the Marauders are the deepest and most balanced. Big Bucks probably 2nd.

My team is still the best bang for the buck (no pun intended) :p

Well my starters make up roughly 85% of my total team salary, with 2 man deep, right now. However I will be adding another center to that to total 3 off the bench players increasing my depth.
When I return to training big men I'll have a 9-11 man deep rotation, but that wont be for another few seasons since I just picked up Stefan Rozon I gotta train that guy =p

That's the juicy gossip I've been sitting on since the end of last season. I didn't share because i figure it gave me a bit of a competitive advantage to have inside info. I was wondering when someone was going to notice.

Yes, Big Bucks is no longer playing, he has been trying to decide when he was going to quit for the last two season, but held off in hopes of making a run at the finals and Div. 1.

Anyways, he felt like he was floating in the top 4 and that it will be difficult to win the finals even if he were to make it because there are so many of us that are beating each other up in our conference that we wouldnt get Home Court regardless of who made it.

The funny thing is he changed his password so he couldn't get on (he was an addict to BB), and now is going through withdraws.

Well sad to see the guy go.. but he could've atleast set his lineup to lucky fans or something =p

Its just funny an inactive team is leading our conference and will probably most of the way lol.
