I like training him (even though he is 19)

Just wanted to say something here The "even though" is kinda out of place here. 19 is a great age for training, no need for that formulation of words

Okay. Thanks. Do I buy a better doctor to speed up his recovery?

If you need so much that player and you can afford money, the answer is yes.

I thought a player didn't heal faster with a better doctor but only gets less injuered. Anybody no this for sure?

According to the Game Manual...
Doctors help reduce the severity of player injuries. Once a player is injured, a Doctor will also help him heal more quickly, but the effect is much smaller than the initial reduction in severity.

IMO, it isn't worth getting a better doctor to reduce the time of injury unless you need a replacement doctor anyways (and I'd recommend replacing the basic doctor if you can afford it)

The level of the doctor at the time of the injury will have the biggest impact on the length of the injury. However upgrading your doctor can slightly increase the rate of recover, yet it may not be noticable to you because a 3 week injury can be anything from 3.0 Weeks to 3.99 Weeks.
