This is something that is quite well established, and anyone who has trained players knows this. In the game manual it says

Additionally, each player (active as of the start of season 5) has a potential which will determine the best that player can possibly become. Potential acts as a "soft" cap on ratings, meaning that a player who has trained to his full potential may still improve, but will improve much more slowly than a player who has not yet reached his potential.

If a player with higher potential were to train faster it would be mentioned here

I think you mean anyone who has trained players EXCEPT YOU knows this.

You can read it anyway you like. If you have any evidence that shows that what was stated is not correct I would love to hear it

Of course not. I asked how you knew, that was all.

You said everyone that trains players knows it, but I didn't.

I said everyone who "has trained", but ok. It's just that it's a topic that has been asked and answered a lot of times. I'm sorry if my reply offended you, that wasn't the point

Why would I be offended?

Please explain what you mean by "has trained" then, since evidently the training I have done does not count.

I think we can end this by saying it's a common mistake that people make when they first start playing the game they buy older players with higher potential because they think they will train faster. Most people soon realise that potential doesn't affect training speed until the soft cap is reached but in the case of Corrupt it has taken a bit longer to pick up on it.

I agree there are many things I don't understand, including training since according to rcvaz I haven't done it.

I see that we are having some semantic issues. By "has trained" I mean someone who has done it for a while and thus can have a reasonable sample from which conclusions can be drawn.

Imagine you start playing BB and have two exactly equal 18 y.o. players (same skills and height), one with potential A and the other with potential B, with B>A. If you train them for 2 weeks and only the 2nd one pops you may think that higher potential means faster training. But if you keep training for a longer period you will see that this is not the case and that the players improve at the same rate. That's all I'm trying to say, apparently with limited success :P
