In the best divisons, if you play Play Off Normal you are risking too much... only if you're much better than the opponent.

Wow, the 3rd seed in the other conference of my league beated second seed by 20 points, and the 4th seed only lost to the 1st seed by 5.

That happens all the time in bottom divisions since large portions of teams' records are the result of bots playing each other before the current managers/rosters took over.

Also I am seeing where teams prioritize winning their cup games early in the season. As a result they lose a few League games...As soon as they get bounced from the Cup Tournament, their efforts go back to winning League games. They may have dug themselves a hole, but if/when they make the playoffs they are much better than their record; and that 4th or 3rd season team may be much better than what their record or seed indicates. As a result, when they beat a higher seed team, its not really an upset.

He said it was just a matter of matchups, his team just matches well against that team. Just like in the NBA.

Hehe, last season there was this funny situation in my league, in which the 4th seed played against the 3. in conference finals ;)

Also my friend last season was seated #4 and won the championship. It was quite a suprise because pound for pound the other teams were way ahead of him talent wise.
