It only matters if the seller is the last bid forcing you to go higher or if you are bidding against the seller. If he didnt' want to sell at that price he should have set his fee higher. I agree it would be betterto let him take the bid and pay the taxes.
I still think it's a issue that should be addressed. It doesn't happen in other managemant games I play.

Yeah, that's clear. People bid on their own players if they fear they'll be sold for a low price, it's not that uncommon.

They pay current tax on the player + that player acts like a new player on your team -> thus if you try to sell him again, he will be taxed a lot more.

Surely the point is that this is simply cheating, or exploiting another manager who wants the type of player up foe sale. It should be monitored and people banned who take this action.

Yes you can remove yourself from the bidding process, but that isnt the point here, the point is a manager taking advantage and bidding on his own player.

If you would buy such a player for say 500k, why should the owner of the player be allowed to push it further and you end up paying more, say 700k, you could stop, but you may want him. You have still been corrupted and exploited fr another 200k.

In England, someone who did the same on Ebay got sent to prison, now I know this is just a game, but its hardly in the spirit of the game and should be allowed.

Ok Everyone! This bidding on your own player topic dosen't need to be addressed becuase the guy is losing money! You know when you see that you get only 98 percent of the sale??? That means he is losing profit and money that he didn't have to use in the first place.
