As koz says, attendance in higher-value seats (luxury boxes and courtside) is more constant because it's based on the price of the seat. The farther you go into the cheap seats, the more the fans care about winning. Your bleacher bums won't show up en masse for a losing team even if the seats are relatively cheap (well, maybe if you're in a higher division and don't have a giant arena, which appears to be your situation). Your corporate fans paying through the nose will attend in greater numbers if you decrease prices, even if your team isn't doing that well.
