As others have said, considering that you're in div IV, it'd be hard to keep training him to be U21 and NT player, as the player salary will become very high and you'll eventually have to sell him.
Although he's a great prospect, as you've only joined a few weeks back, the priority goes to building arena and building your team, getting some young trainable players etc. So if I were you, I'd sell him for good cash (he can be sold for millions due to his high potential) and use that to build arena and buy some young (preferrably 18 year old) trainees.

depends on where his skills are distributed and what his potential ends up at

Train him. You won't be in Div. IV forever

Hmm that's little high for guards but I think it's ok. He can still be trained as SG and perhaps train some inside too and he can become outside oriented SF.
I'm not really concerned about the points and all the stats shown because I'm not really sure how accurate the scores and stats are in relation to the actual skills. But I guess 43 points is unusual, so he should have pretty good starting skills.

Hello roozer,

I am one of the Scouts for the Australian U21 team and I do hope that you get that great player. If you do you will be able to take one of two paths.

1) Sell him right away. Depending on his skills he will be worth between hundreds of thousands and millions. No-one can tell you exactly because we can't see him yet. He could have $7,000 wages, be an all time great and have every skill at respectable and sell for $2,000,000 or more. Or he could be a MVP with a $5,000 starting salary and inept inside shot, atrocious passing and stamina and be worth only a few hundred thousand.

With that money you would have a massive advantage over every other team in your league, you could could build your arena, get some good staff, buy some young trainees and some established veterans and promote to division III easily.

2) Keep him and train him to be a superstar! This will be slow. This will be hard. You will have to scrimp and save. You will have to battle hard with low quality players. You may not promote to division III right away. But all that time you will be growing in your bosom a player that other teams only dream of drafting, and that you may never, ever be able to get again. One day that player will be a titan amongst men, first on the U21 team then maybe on the National Team while he leads you from division IV to III to II and all the way to the ABBL.

This way will be very difficult and slow and is not for everyone.

The choice is yours.

Simply not true in Australia.

III is fine for U21 player.. IV is bots..
