woo, little excited Morwood?

And to our candidate so far I'd like to ask him what he thinks of the scrimmages we've played with our 20 year olds so far, which one he likes and so on. This question also goes out to anyone else who throws their name in the ring.

I'm happy to be a former U21 and NT coach :-)

I'd consider having another bash at the NT... but it's not really fair to have the NT coach in the EBBL so I'll be supporting Eminence next season. Having done the hard work with the U21s, he deserves a shot at the full NT anyway.

dear Srez,

i'd like to remind you that no mailing should be done. IF they got something to ask, they should do it on the forum, because mailing could be considered as campaigning. If someone mails you, answer it on the forum, saying you got a mail from a anonymous coach stating the following ( and then use the quote button)

regards and best of luck to the participants.

I may have out done You on Canadas speech ;) Anyways, you would do an amazing job as Englands U21 and you would have my vote if I were in England.

Here is a question to all the competitors.

How do you think England can do in the ever competitive Europe Continentals?

i would just like to say good luck to the two candidates that have stepped forward so far, it seems as though there are two worthy opponents to challenge for the mantle of U21 coach

Ill be watching keenly but unfortunately i may not be able to be as active as i want to be in the discussions that follow...

Nonetheless i have two questions while i have a couple of minutes here ;)...

What would you say is your most important strength or quality that you would bring to the job?
and
What would you say is your main weakness? I would also be interested to hear how you would propose to manage or counteract this weakness

Oh and finally - is there a risk that you will not have the time to do the job and our community proud?
I want to see a coach who will be able to put some time in !

Even though we lost all three of our scrimmages, some good did come out of it. For starters, we executed an outside offense fairly well, and know that we are probably not going to be the LI team that many NT's strive to be. I disagree with what LA-kalebam said about us experimenting with outside tactics though, for although we were experimenting the class of players we have coming up is much more suited to an outside offense. You can argue that the GE favors inside tactics, but other than Gregor Simpson and David Sandoval, I do not think we have the level of bigs required to run LI effectively. We were a very balanced team last season as well, and we were able to win many games without using inside offenses. I'm not completely against it, I'm just saying with the class we have there is nothing preventing us from winning with an outside offense.

I mean, most of you guys don't know any of the players skills but some of the players we have (I'll only mention a few notable ones) including Shatrughan Palit (21070543), Trevor Mason (21068964), Christopher Granbalagh (21068838), Rudolph Esposto (21069289), and Mattie Waddock (21068445) are great players, and good serve us extremely well in an outside offense. Again, it really depends on the opponent but I got to say I like the outside offense with the players we have coming up this season.

Hey fluff good question.

As I said in my speech, my biggest strength that I would bring to the U21 job is my familiarity with the team. I may be repeating myself a bit here, but we all know that whatever Eminence did worked well these past two seasons, so we should be in no rush for an instant change. I have worked very closely with Eminence, and understand how the current U21 structure works. Also, it would not be beneficial for the England U21 team to elect someone who still has to learn about all of our players, and since I am already familiar with many of the English players, I would be able to immediately weave my way into the system.

As for my biggest weakness I am not really sure, but I guess it could be said that I am inexperienced compared to some other managers (this was stated in the speech as well). I think I have shown I deserve some respect on the club team level, and have worked with NT's pretty much my whole career on BB. Although, there are still things that I will not know, but with the offsite forum discussing tactics and others problems that may occur is extremely simple. I do not make decisions on my own, and each decision will be discussed carefully with the rest of the staff.

Lastly, I will be able to put the time into this job ;) I think I have demonstrated I am willing to put that time in as well.

I believe England has a great chance at doing well in the continentals this season. We are currently the number one ranked team in our pool, not that means much since teams can change drastically from season to season, but it still says something about how much England has improved over these last few seasons. I personally think we have a very high chance of coming in first or second of our pool, and making it to the second round. I can not promise any trips to the semifinals or finals, because obviously if we make it to the second round we will have to play countries that are just larger and more active then ours, but maybe some day far in the future we will be able to reach the level of teams like Spain, Italy and Poland. Until that day though, we will work with the players we have, and do our best to compete in this challenging region. One thing's for sure, other countries better keep a good eye on England as our players and managers keep improving ;)
