So there are two things that pertain to your question:
1) there are sublevels of potential and
2) a player doesn't have a cap really, just a point at which training slows down.

This means that there is no finite limit on potential. And so josefka's formula that I use in the training simulator describes cap as a range within which training slows down. (FYI it automatically takes into account the player type, too.) What the numbers in the training simulator represent are the edges of the range in which the training slow-down may begin.

So, your plan to get your player to 20,76 is likely not to run into cap problems. And if he does, you can probably spend not more than a couple of extra weeks to get to your final goals.

thank you all. i guess it makes sense then to cap them with 1on1 because i will have my new guard trainees as well to at least have some pops each week while im waiting for skillups on my old guys :)
