Wingmen vs others just let's you play your sf in his natural pos.

JS Forwards also allows him to play at his natural position.

I think the real question is who are the other guys he'd like to pick up extra training those weeks - are they guards or interior players? If they are guards, do JS training for wingmen and play the other trainees at SG. If they are bigs, do JS for forwards and play the other trainees at PF. Either way, the main trainee gets to stay at his natural SF spot.


The other thing is that JS Forwards sacrifices some training speed in JR but gives some training in IS.

Remember though that there's a very different height coefficient for JS wingmen versus forwards. JS forwards is flat wrt height for JS, but negative for IS. So, it kinda stinks for getting tall guys much IS.

But as Alec points out, it might be more convenient to use the other slot for a PF, than a guard. All depends who else you are training your SF with.

True, but a little IS is still more than zero IS, except for large values of zero. ;)

Thank you all for your insight,
I'm at the moment training him with my guards, although I'm at the moment training my guards in inside skills, (as those with very low ID were hurting me versus active teams with look inside strategy) I'm going to train him in the following weeks until at least "average" IS, and then see what my team needs in general...

I'm not trying to make money out of this player, but I want to make him a good long term player for my team. I was thinking PF to be able to retire mine in 2 seasons-3 seasons. But I might wait for the next draft to pick myself a very big player to fill that role, and train this guy as a good SF.

I personally would train him at his natural position, I mean I'd get his handling up to atleast respectable, passing respectable, get his driving up a little(7-8) and then train JS. But I like a mid-range - 3 Point shooting type of offense of course.
