yes, there are a lot of teams playing li/m2m. but there are also teams which decide not to play it.

i took a lock at the top 4 of my league (28 games atm):

- one played 3 times li/m2m
- one played 0 times li/m2m
- one played once li/m2m
- one played twice li/m2m

the other games were li with a zone defense or motion/isolation/patient/princeton/low post as offense.

maybe my league is kind of weird, because we have a couple of teams which hate li and play other offensiv tactics. maybe that's also the reason why we fight until the last game for the playoffs or against relegation.

There's definitely a point beyond which it's nearly impossible to win without LI/M2M, for the most part. I'm just glad that I'm not at that level yet. Hopefully there's a fix out there that fixes the imbalance for high level play and doesn't tilt the pendulum too far the other way for lower division teams.

True. Need to put the game strategy aspect back into BB because right now it's:

1: Look Inside
2: Man to Man
3: Blank Lineup
4: Let Coach Decide
5: ???
6: WIN!

its a good point

95% of league games i set a lineup & strictly follow depth chart so i can get training done

but in pl games i run li/m2m/blank/lcd & the team kicks ass!

you know that if everybody is doing the same, the best team wins?

I would add two more points:
1) Good OD shuts down even legendary outside shooting which makes outside defenses difficult.
2) The engine doesn't like having superb unbalanced players at each position. It is heavily weighted to a team of 5 SF. We had that situation in the IPBL 2 seasons ago.

1. Great to see this discussion still going.

2. Great to see something might be done about it.

3. Sad that it has taken this long.

4. Hope they're very careful with adjustments.

5. I hope they take the community's feedback on board when deciding up their adjustments.

6. I made a list.

I think we now have identified a handful of GE issues that need to be fixed,

1. LI
2. SB
3. OD
4. JR
5. salary formula!

If we can scratch the first two points off that list during the next one and a half seasons it would be already a big step in the right direction. To adapt to to such a change will take us some time (train different types of players, try new tactics...), fixing the rest might keep us interested for a handful of seasons - so there is a lot of potential to make this game much more interesting again.

I like the sledgehammer idea a lot, though
