Enthusiasm would have been lower in the 2nd game. TIE'd the first, normal a game in between the two, and then TIE'd again in the 2nd. My enthusiasm is usually at least 9 or 10, so it drops quick if I don't constantly TIE.

I mentioned all the key differences under "intangible". I didn't think the opposing team had an effect on my team ratings.

Well, we all know that "no skill is completely useless at any position". And the difference of 1 visible level might be as little as X.99 to Y.01 -- potentially pretty intangible as well. Though I also agree the opposing team probably has no effect on your ratings.

The difference in ratings is so minimal that it might be from the different PF.

If so, then what's the point of playing a 3-2 zone? If you're going to get little to no gain at perimeter defense, I should just go with 2-3 zone instead and get the inside benefits.

Ever this small difference could have changed ratings by decimals...

So the small difference could have changed ratings by decimals.

What about the fact that there should be a substantial change for 3-2 Zone compared to 2-3 Zone?

I just went back and highlighted the def tactics, looks like some are missing this.

There is a lot of other things that may have influence on these two matches - players with different defense spent different amount of minutes at the court... SF can have low outside defense so it doesn´t matter if he plays in perimeter line or not... the Game Shape I mentioned before... I´m far from telling you that it certailny is not a bug, but I think so.

I know my team pretty well, and based on the minutes played, subs, all the "intangibles", it balances out. When playing a 3-2 zone, you should have a noticeably stronger perimeter defense cause you get a noticeably weaker inside def and rebounding. Otherwise, why give up inside def and rebounding for little to no gain?!

The stuff you are talking about, minutes, subs, game shape are all such minor differences between the games.

In my opinion, it is a question of choosing the appropriate player to optimize each tactic. In my case, I have played a 3-2 zone with a nice increase of my outside defense and without a clear decrease on rebounding.
I played with two PG (at PG and SG positions) and a SG (at the SF position).
I guess you will need at least 3 good outside defenders to have a net profit by playing 3-2 zone.

In your case, it seems clear that playing 3-2 is not worth for that particular player combination.
