This is fantastic OTT. Very interesting read looking at all those old names and famous teams. Would be interesting to see who has held this the longest overall. I suspect Whitebeard but Bryce Gibbs can't be far behind. Obviously any system that has me as the heavyweight champion in season 24 is a perfect system.

Season 24; The pirate age ends...
144: Guanzheng Goldfish (2) (8/10/2013 - 8/24/2013, 14 days) (59460130)
145: Yarra Park Bears (4) (8/24/2013 - 8/31/2013, 7 days) (59460164)
146: Chelsea Seagulls (3) (8/31/2013 - 10/8/2013, 38 days) (59460181)

That does make sense SN_13, but the reason for the rules I set for the heavyweight title was to have the best teams in the country competing for it as much as possible. In fact I even considered stripping Razzle Dazzles of the title when they relegated, and awarding the vacant title to that seasons ABBL champion, CoolCats (and that is the basis of the ABBL heavyweight championship I proposed), but didn't because they were technically never 'beaten' for the title.

Actually on second thought, maybe I should just do that and erase the II.1 title reigns from the record books (at least until I bother to track down the linear champion). Seeing as though I went to great lengths to keep the championship in the ABBL in the first place, why not go all the way? Don't worry yoda and sid, CoolCats goes 22-0 in Season 11 so he should be the champion by then regardless and it won't affect your reigns.

If I was to track down the lineage of a title that counts the battlers tournament, it would be called the 'Interdivisional Championship'. The initial champion would be the winner of the first ever battlers tournament and all competitive games would count, making for a lot of title changes... which is why it might not ever happen, because tracking down every title change for the Heavyweight title was hard and tedious enough without having to worry about the tournament as well...

Thanks to ASW, PI has held it for a few extra days. Most likely will keep it tonight, but I do hope that Whoompa can get it back as thats the last chance for our side to get it till next season. BTW I do play whoopa game after that :) so would be very, very nice if he wins.

Great post

9 days with the title for the BHB's

Pretty much a flash in the pan heel wrestler that got the belt then got knocked out and pinned 2 secs later!

Agree very interesting. Sadly Whompa failed and now the title is destined to stay in the Big 8.
