1. Put it this way. Unhide me few players that can avg 2.5 - 3 bpg. I'll be fine then.
2. Always the player they're guarding. Ha? Our BB guards is using Russell Westbrook as template? Cannot lah bro..
3. M2M shotblocking more difficult. Weak side shotblocking occurs more. Hence should be more numbers.

My sf his all inside skills 14 besides 12sb averages 2,2 shot block per game. not to mention he forces way less shots against him. he playing center usually because i go small lineup, since i am the fan of 7 seconds or less offense strategy So since league IS average is like somewhere between 14-15 my guy tends to get 2,2 sb in 35mins with 14 id 12sb, which is bellow average defences expected to defend LI, why isnt it great? It is. sb works, last season i trained sb, managed to drastically lower the oponents ppp at both pf and c spot. The result is 1st place against 7th last season, only because sb and ppp oponents allowed went downt o like 0,95 from like 1,25.

Id say for highest level where people have atleast 17 IS guys you need like 17id +17 sb to make them shot bellow average ppp which is like 1,05... theroricly i would expect that and i bet practicly it works too. Iv seen some german guy who has great shotblockers on team at div 3 with like 16sb averahge and 15id too against 13-14is average he holds oponents to 33 or so percent shooting so its like 0,66 ppp Thats insane. cant find the link atm but he was on main forums few times with his statistics they make me very very optimistic.

4 blocks average with 15 id 15 sb in argentine league 2

cant post link, caus in the market.

Also to facts to mention: there are NO 16 or higher shotblockers on transfer market, there are 5 with 15 since there are 283 with 15+ IS, so how could you expect high sb stats at higher level?

And don't forget to mention two things. The guy you linked had 4.9 BPG last season. AND if you check blocking rankings, he's second in his league, fourth in division, 17th in his country and only 534th in the world. So there are at least 533 other players who average (equal or) more then 3.4 blocks per game.

Hi mate !
I have no idea what are the figures that "should" sound right for you, but i'm quite satisfied with the current ones.
I can provide you some data about ID & SB skill levels of my players in order to link them to the statistic lines of Bpg if you are interested, still i've only played in V-IV division levels. Dunno if those figures are really interesting for high level competition.
A general trend of it :
All of my best shotblockers have (/ used to) a minium of 7SB + 8ID. The actual one (my old C) have 7SB & 11ID. And the average figures are around 2.2 Bpg.
Besides, the other guys on the court that do well defending the rim, especially the forwards, have skills around (6-7)SB+(8-9)ID and they average something like 1.6 Bpg.
As you can see, the figures are quite "normal". But my rivals' fg% have been the lowest of the league (DEE-FENSE !) for the last 4-5 seasons (around 35%) ... So I think the SB influence going along with the ID are quite satisfying as they are currently.
But if you're going to make up a solid survey, I'll gladly share the figures in my possession.
PEACE ! :°)

Hi mate, thanks for sharing. You're right. I'm expecting higher number in a tighter competition like div I & II.

hey mate, indeed SB skill is great. I did see some confession that SB do force an ugly FG from opposite team. I think you might want to extend your observation once you advance to Top division or div2, where Defenses are Proficient and Inside scoring is Prolific.

the league rating have more blue/purple than red. much more like div3. and the player never played in a serious level yet.
