That is a great suggestion. I have actually been looking for an opinion on the forums to sway me in my training one way or the other. I have two decent PG prospects and I planned on just training them in passing, handling, and outside defense. That way they would take minimal shots but be lock-down defenders and passers. I always liked Gary Payton so my training reflects that i guess. However I have noticed they are pitiful in inside defense. Since they are so young I wonder if now is the best time to try to pop third tier skills.

Do you think its more important to conveyer belt trainees or make them into your ideal players?

I try to make trainees that I'll use but eventually end up selling them to help fill other holes. I currently train only C/PF. Right now, I have 3 guys 21-22 year olds with salaries over $12K. I have a 4th trainee who is ok behind them.

It's almost time to sell one of them to help fill the rest of the roster. Depends on the draft and if I get a legit big prospect to replace him.

It sounds like a balancing act. What can I get away with, in order to win now or later...

Do you think single position training or double position training is more efficient?

What is double position training? You mean training guard prospects and F/C prospects alterating? Or do you mean training the same prospects as guards and FCs?

Either way, I don't think either idea is a good one as you'll never get the players high enough (I'm shooting for a level II team). Find F/Cs who have some JS/Passing skills, or find guards who have some IS/Rebounding skills. I focus entirely on the former.

But I could care less about winning in level IV. I'll add some veterans to round out my roster to try and accomplish that.

That you did! I just hope the previous team didn't leave you with any walkovers.

Oh sorry I meant like training PG and SG, or like training only PG. I've heard only giving training to 1 position a week goes faster but I feel like too much of my team will just be stagnating.

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you I think. Might as well collect money on low salaries until i can contend legitimately.

That is the wrong attitude.
You should focus on your primary income, which is your Arena. The prize money for winning a league/relegating is usually less than two or three home games (you have almost 1 per week). Which means you should build it up and focus on your fans. Get a PR Manager who is Advanced or better, and focus on filling and building seats (and view Fan Survey). If you see a sudden drop in attendance, it could be your season/team (fans upset), the opponent, or your arena prices. I try to avoid dropping my rates and sneaking $2-$5 ticket raises per season.
If you are building players by training, try to keep at least 1 of your trainees on your team and never trade him. He will improve your merchandise income.
