Key words: Fire them.

Also with a normal roster of 11/12 players, there is no absolute needs to buy such players each week. Since the change on lowered GS after purchase, I almost totally stopped that practice of buying 1k scrubs each week and my roster is doing OK.
Thank you, I missed those key words. But I agree with you about buying scrubs every week.

This is ALL thrown out the window when you train and/or go for your cup.
True. Too bad that competing and training are so "either-or" in BB.

You can do both at the same time, just not with maximum efficiency, and the tradeoff is relative to the competition you face in a given week. The more frequently you have games you were always going to win or always going to lose, the less the discrepancy between a "regular starter" and a trainee matters.

Yes, exactly my point.

You can't train three 18 y old all season long and aim for a title (unless very precise circumstances), but you can completely train older players and succeed. Still, the light arrangements you have to do when training help for some turnover at the top and in the leagues under.

Of course, there is also the possibility some weeks (the most competitive ones) to train the two-position skills like 1 on 1 or rebounding (or JS, but I feel bad even mentioning that training type), so you can minimize the number of minutes you need to expose the 18 year olds in league competition.
