Some challenges that follows polls are:
* It is seldom acurate questions that applies to each user.
* You get hard yes/no answer, that does not capture all the nuances.
* If you open up for feedback a lot of time that could be used to improve things goes away on reading those.
* Popular opinion is not always the right answer to create balance.
Although I am inclined to agree on a few of your points, I do believe the BBs are working on tuning a fine machine, and that some of the reason things are the way they are, is because a lot of managers are following the common census instead of experimenting and finding ways to build unorthodox teams. Because the tilt among the managers have gone to the inside, it is hard to find players that are trained for more diverse tactics in a way that challenges the system. So, to contradict myself a litte I must admit I agree that IS needs to be looked at how it factors into the salary formula. But remember, the ultimate goal of BB is to create a balanced machine that stands the test of time, no matter the trends. Therefore it is (I know) frustrating to not see issues being resolved right away, but in order to assess changes and possible tweaks it takes time. Unfortunately, but it will make for a better game in the end. I just hope I am still on this earth long enough to experience it ;)
