Ye, I agree Bergkamp...

Only O'Dubhan & Rawlings are maybe worth keeping, but hold onto at least 12 players until you get replacements. Depends how much spare cash original poster has, but maybe:
- buy as good a trainer as you can, cheaply
- buy as good a doctor with massage as you can afford
- buy as good a PR manager as budget allows
- leave plenty to buy 2 good prospects (18yo's?) of same type to train up (PG's I'd recommend)
- train them on 1 position as much as possible
- leave some money to buy decentish players for other positions (maybe under 26? to last some time)
- make sure you can make a decent profit each week, and build up a warchest to invest wisely in future...

Its gonna take time and it will be a learning process, but it will pay off eventually. Most important thing is to make a good profit each week and to be able to enjoy/have interest in squad/games to some extent...

Great question, simple answer... Train it over 6, I like to run 8 to 9's

Try to train Stamina and Free Throws in these week when you only play 2 games (including friendly match), if you training young players I'd say leave this kind of training when they will be 27-29 year old.

Some great feedback which has given me a much better understanding.

Nice to have started a good conversation as well, hopefully hasn't only helped myself.

What's the point in having high skills if they can only play 15-20 mins at a good level...

Exactly. Having in the past not bothered much with stamina training I can vouch for this. When I relegated from the EBBL a few seasons ago, I actually rid myself of any trainees, and trained only stamina until I had a few players on 9 and I think the lowest was around 5 or 6. The difference was astonishing. Players performed much more like you'd expect them to according to their skills. What amazes me now is that it wasn't obvious to me in the many many seasons I'd been here before that.

It is more or less the fourth defense skill. Every offense and defense has a different impact on your stamina. Defense gets a bigger minus than offense. So guys with high ID and SB should have a lot of stamina. I think 10 or 12 seasons ago I made a small excel tool to see how fast skills will decrease during a game (with almost every offense and defense).

Just to give some feedback on this topic i trained stamina post season. Most of my players are at least respectable and it has made a positive impact on results.

Something I will keep doing.

Going 1->2 has a much higher impact than 3->4 and obviously 7->8. I wouldn't go higher than 7 unless there is a good reason for it based on tactics or lack of depth. It's much harder to manage minutes with high stamina players unless you can get garbage time consistently. There is no point in having more stamina if you can't get the GS to proficient or a solid strong,
