My point was the data.
Compared to pickup games, PL is already quite a good and balanced option.
If your goal is to study the engine in detail,
PL, under normal conditions, still requires cooperation with other players to share skill information of both teams' players, and there's only one game per week.
Pickup games, on the other hand, have no restriction on using original and second teams, so people with a second team can do solo studying of the engine.
(It feels like having a second team is even more attractive than being a supporter.)
It seems that BB made a trade-off between absolute fairness and the appeal of supporter/second teams, which I can understand.
