The game engine changes for Season 9 won't be a huge factor, since it's already been implemented for scrimmages and Private League games in Season 8, and I haven't noticed a real effect on things at the high level of my club team (with stats like the NZ NT players).
This game's not about experience? In the past I've played my starters too much (ruining game shape), played the wrong Coach's tactics, scouted opponents poorly, raised my arena ticket prices way too high for too long, bought too many young trainees and didn't realize they'd never all get enough playing (training) minutes, trained older players for too long with no benefit, etc etc...I've learned from all of these mistakes and it won't happen again. This has made me a better manager, economically and strategically.
As for why NZ and not the US, the US NT is managed by GM-JuicePats (who has offered any advice I may need), who has been the manager since the very beginning, and with the amazing success of the team (reached the World Semifinals this year, lost by 2), I fully support him and have no reason to run against him.
I absolutely love BB with a passion (I mean I'm writing this at 1:53 am local time!), ever since I started playing way back when, and I want to spread the awesomeness of BB to a country who has the potential to grow and become great. You guys have the makings of a great community, I mean look how much interest this thread has generated! And it's only the beginning. Most people would've run off and tried another country after I lost the U-21 election, but I didn't. Especially after chatting with hoddy and colesy throughout the season, I know you're all good people with the willingness to lay the foundation for the future. I have faith in NZ!
