when i saw 33 unread messages on this post (any UK post in long time?) my eyes almost popped out!

its nice to see a few managers who feel strongly about NT argue out their cases, though i think between them all there are probably quite a few similarities, even though they might not admit it :)

i really appreciate it when a coach puts a lot of time and work into what he does as this is the most precious thing he can give. with the help of his staff there is no reason why he cant boost player development in the community, develop tactics, strategies etc etc and everyone covers each others weaknesses.

what i would like to see is us to build a database of active managers that would be interested in helping the NT or U21 in some way - and in particular managers with a proven track record of consistent training who want to coordinate to help breed a better qualiy of player.

i am certainly one of those. I am committed to training outside players, but i would not have a problem training an SF/PF/C in outside skills to round them out a bit or a lot. I would rather do this with an english player, but they are quite hard to find when i have certain age/skill/potential expectations - and this is before the price tag!

it will take some time to get enough managers together but with a bit of work i think we can start finding players homes. Worst case would be taking on guys of different shapes at 18 and 19 and doing their "opposite" skills first rather than 21+ and finishing them off with their secondries/opposite skills.

im vey happy to see a couple new managers pop up and say very good things. lets keep it going.

ive been working quite hard to get new staff members going at the u21 level and contributing. if there is anyone else out there, that wants to help get in touch...

i didnt list him because i felt asking price is a bit too high, but he could be one day a very nice player. only problem is his superstar potential, which on the long run for a big is too low.

There is a player on the transfer wire who would absolutely make the England team. Handling won't be as high, but Jump Range will be higher.

you are aware that only NT coaches may post players here? and only english players may be listed here? anything else posted here by anyone else is not acceptable. this isnt my rule or decision but this is a standard BB rule.

you want to build such a skill set for your own player? was that your question?

Clearly it was. You mentioned that Superstar was too low, and I pointed out that some players with superstar could start for the English team. Or, are you arguing that the future England NTs will not have room for Superstar potential players?

i am not going into every discussion where you are going to show the one exception to the rule and have lengthy discussions about this.

i am not argueing at all, and will not argue with you about this.

train him to be the best english PF and he will play. it is as simple as that.

Instead of participating in a dialogue about the future of NT prospects, you would rather just shoot everyone down.

i feel sorry for you that you cant accept the facts.

you are the one that wants to argue. and i am not going too. i have seen allstar potential players that play for the NT.but this is a big exception to the rule. rule for most NT is super star potential for guards and better for bigs. does this mean there is nowhere an exception to the rule to be found? no!!! if the player is superbly trained he can make the NT with any level off potential. you can train players once he has reached his cap too. they just train slower. that player that you are showing is trained beyond his cap. if you want to do that, go ahead and if you train him well, he might play one day. if you want to train him once he is capped (which means he pops very slow, go ahead), but I am not going explain how this game works, talk about every exception to the rule etc and argue about it because you are bored.

i dont see where i am bullying you by saying train him well and he might make it into the NT. is it likely, he will play for the NT. in my opinion not. more there doesnt need to be sad. and if you dont like that, fine, call me a bully, that isnt my problem.
