Training monsters players for NTs is just not what Buzzerbeater is about. At best, training individual players for the NT is a kind of sub-game within Buzzerbeater for those who don't want to play the more complex game.

Thats not what a national team should be... I still think it is absurd that you get penalized for training an elite player.

Are you arguing that the NTs are more important than the clubs?

I believe that both the deploymentss have thier right arguments

I agree that the top players should be part of the top teams,as they should be able to afford at least one of them,or two only slighty worse, without lowering drammatically the level of a team or being forced to stop soon their development

But I agree also with the fact that a salary cap for the top players would be simply unfair for the large part of the managers that had to take difficult decisions to have an efficient-wage policy for their teams

And i yet said that the solution should be the result of others general wage reductions(so it would affect all the players in almost the same way),and an improvement in attendence cap(and of the promotion prizes),related to the level of the team and of the league

the salary formula is ridiculous. but the BBs think it is ok, so very remote chances of this being changed in the future.
in BB players with level-14 habilities are better than level-20. that makes no sense, but that's the way it is.

Well put. In BB players with level 14 abilities are MUCH better for any team than players with level 20. Kobe, Lebron, Duncan, Dwight go home, no-one wants you in this bizarre world.

but the 1st division team can afford one kobe or lebron.
What you cant do is have 5 kobes, and that is ok because if you can the game become unreal.
What the game is doing with the super high salaries is making some type of salary cap.
you can buy the best players of the word because you have the money, but you cant do that because yo cant afford them

I think it's worth reminding a few people what Lebron and Dwight actually looks like in Buzzerbeater terms.

From BB Forest in the NBA Sims thread...

In my most recent version Lebron was...

Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: awful
Outside Def.: strong Handling: prominent
Driving: legendary Passing: prodigious
Inside Shot: prolific Inside Def.: proficient
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: prominent

Experience: legendary

lebron is a 5th year starter in the league with playoff experience, so I think a lot of experience is appropriate...

anyway.. here's a preview of dwight

Jump Shot: proficient Jump Range: atrocious
Outside Def.: average Handling: pitiful
Driving: respectable Passing: inept
Inside Shot: prolific Inside Def.: tremendous
Rebounding: wondrous Shot Blocking: prodigious
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: awful

Which, using CoachParrot's Scout tool, suggests Lebron is pulling down $44,899 a week as a rather tall PG with a tendency to drive to the hoop while Dwight's agent wants a whopping $89,177 for his shotblocking monster who can rebound and defend a bit - but he can't get a game because no manager in Buzzerbeater would ever pay that much for shotblocking :-O

which makes him a first league backup ;) if you want him as a dominant player today, he had to be skills above a good first league player. Yeah you could reduce skills to make a league 4 Lebron, which is equal for the calculation because the differences matters, but posting league 4 LeBron and saying that would be one of the most dominating players in game as it meant to be played and he just earn 45k salary is a wrong way ;)

Now imagine following player:

Jump Shot:t legendary Jump Range: tremendous
Outside Def.: stupendous Handling: prominent
Driving: legendary Passing: tremendous
Inside Shot: legendary Inside Def.: stupendous
Rebounding: stupendous Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: prominent

Experience: legendary

maybe this player have the ingame effect from LeBron, but probadly players would pay less for him then the fourth league Le Bron just because of his salary. Not because he have fewer secondaries, or is in any way a weaker player, no just because of his salary ;)

That version of Lebron would clearly fail a drugs test!

Lebron is Lebron, and BB-Forest posted his BB stats, so we know what they are! The BB gameworld just offers scope to create players much better than Lebron, because it is a game where excesses to the optimum level are possible in all parts of the game. Already the best leagues in Buzzerbeater are clearly a higher quality than the RL NBA - although I would give Lebron a go at PG in my Low Post offense, as my SF can always cover for him and defend the PG position ;-)

The kind of stat inflation you're talking about would reduce the "excessive" range and make the gameworld easier - too easy!
