Looks like you've got a good team that'll at least be competive next season, and if you manage enthusiasm and gameshape well you could be looking at a very successful season. Promotion would be dependent on what D.IV you go into.

Mizzou, barring some huge upset, I'd think your team should go undefeated with good enthusiasm in V.

That scrimmaging idea I'd like to be apart of, but not at the expense of a playoff bid.

Hmm, unfortunately it appears as if the scrimmage tournament won't be taking off, maybe we could just put our names in and do a little round robin thing for fun.

D.IV 12 Through 7

Big 8-Xenia has seperated itself from the pack while Bostn has fallen out but the other 6 teams are all relatively close, especially consindering todays results.
Pinoy(3-4) 109- Bostn(0-7) 86: An expected result, Pinoy continues to beat the teams it should but struggles against the big boys.
Suns(4-3) 121- Bullseyes(5-2) 104: A huge road win for the Suns, fairly unexpected, Bullseyes had looked secure as Big 8's #2 but this result throws that into doubt.
Firestorm(3-4) 52- Xenia(7-0) 86: Xenia closes out the first round of conference games with a blowout to stay unbeaten.
ATL(4-3) 94- Twobit(2-5) 95: Bigtime upset, ATL has stumbled recently.

Great 8-Droids and Cappers look secure on top while GTown has gone on a recent roll to move into position for the playoffs, looking more settled so far than the Big 8.
Wall Street(1-6) 69- Iowa(3-4) 83: Needed win for Iowa as they try to keep pace with GTown and GR.
Droids(7-0) 100- Scarlet(1-6) 52: Absolute demolition of Scarlet by the Droids, reminding everyone who's #1.
Cappers(6-1) 102- Venom(4-3) 95: Good job by Cappers to secure the #2 spot for now, missed opportunity for GR.
GTown(4-3) 93- Blue(2-5) 89: GTown has looked great recently and continues to move up.

Games to watch to start interconference play
Pinoy@GTown: A good chance for GTown to prove they belong in the playoffs.
ATL@Cappers: Cappers will look to keep rolling, ATL once the Big 8's #2 needs a win to avoid falling completely off the pace.
Suns@Droids: Can Suns build on success vs. Bullseyes, they face a stiffer test in Droids.
Xenia@Iowa: Iowa has underperformed in the eyes of some to this point, looks for momentum vs. Xenia.

A look into IV.47. Just to give you an idea of the depth we have in this league. The top 5 salaried teams are all within the top 8 in the league. My team has been here for 3 seasons now and have had a tough time getting back up to D III where I was for 8 seasons. It's a tough league indeed.

I'm playing your cross-division rival, Sour Pickles in my cup match this week. Looks like I have my work cut out for me.

He's a tough opponent, but if you focus inside, you'll be fine. That's been his weak point in the three seasons I've played him. You never heard it from me....

D.IV 12 Through 8 Games

Great8 6- Big8 2-Great8 hosted round 1 and jumped out to a solid start.
Xenia(8-0) 97- Iowa(3-5) 73: Xenia Picks up one of 2 Big8 wins, expected.
ATL(4-4) 89- Cappers(7-1) 102: With unfortunate draw to start interconference play ATL continues to slide.
Bullseyes(6-2) 95- Scarlet(1-7) 85: Surprisingly close, still one of the only two Big8 wins.
Tabs(2-6) 65- Venom(5-3) 106: Lucky draw for Venom, pulls the team formerly known as Twobit in their first game back after going bot to help build PD.
Bostn(0-8) 71- Blue(3-5) 86: Good win for the Crew.
Pinoy(3-5) 73- GTown(5-3) 98: GTown continues its roll towards the top, Pinoy continues to struggle. Semi-interesting is the fact that Pinoy played only 6 players, could be saving for cup?
Suns(4-4) 57- Droids(8-0) 86: Normally high scoring Suns shut down by Droids Strong OD.
Firestorm(3-5) 65- Wall Street(2-6) 77: Wall Street grabs win #2 in the hunt to avoid relegation.

Upcoming Games to Watch-Expect a fairly even next round with most of the matchups being a lowseed vs a highseed.
Droids@Bullseyes: Droids look to prove themselves vs one of the Big8's top teams.
Venom@Pinoy: Excellent chance for Pinoy to redeem themselves, can Venom pick up their first high quality win?

Teams Still In The Cup-7 total
Xenia, Bullseyes, Suns, Pinoy, Tabs, Venom, and Iowa

Doesn't anyone else bother to scout opponents? Sweet Pickles ID rating has been higher than his OD rating in his last six games this season. He won by 30+ versus a team that played Low Post against him last night. His weakness is rebounding and lack of inside scoring.

Balrog, your team seems much like mine in focus, and I would simply play base and man against him. However your OD isn't as good as mine, so you might risk 3-2 zone knowing you have better base rebounding and hope you don't lower your rebounding effectiveness too much.

In all fairness, he played a very, very weak team in our division that consistently loses by 10+ points, so that win is no surprise. Yes, his inside defense has seen improvements, but we're talking about Mediocre (medium to high), which with the right players, you can easily over come that. I play Low Post/Look Inside against him and crush him. All that means while playing man to man, is the players at the positions can defend at least a little bit, but they can easily be overpowered.

Pickles has always been an outside focused team, despite my numerous attempts to get him to focus a bit on the inside game. Our league focuses heavily on the outside game in terms of defense because we have so many that do so. The problem is, they don't have the inside game to back up the outside, which makes them weaker overall.

I stand by my previous statement, that if you focus on an inside attack against him, 9 times out of 10, you'll be able to overcome his mediocre ratings. Trust me, it's worked for 3 seasons.
