IMO height comes into play significantly.
6'2 guys at the sf or sg spots which I have seen forever won't cut it.
I prefer bigger lineups, I have a 6'6 sg, and he gets his share of SBs with his average ability .
I have team wise got over 10 blocks a game quite a few times.
I had a tandem C(6'10) and PF(6'9), who contested shots and showed in the SBing colum, they had strong and proficient ability respectively.
If you wish to see SBing come to life, aquire two good SBers, and play the 3-2 defense........you will then se the impact on your defense

Height doesn't change anything when it comes to games (in buzzerbeater, while it's of course true IRL), it's just taken account in training, a 7 footer with the same skills as a 5"10 shooter won't block more shots played at the same position

I know what they say friend. But the devs aren't going to give up any secrets.
(our did the devs write the playing manuel?)
I believe this game has more real attributes than given credit for, just need to know where to look, and I acknowledge that this game has flaws.
I've been at this since season 3, so I basically thumb my nose as some of the things a read at this point.
Because you can make whatever you want to do work for you. You just ned to find the right combination of attributes to make it come to life.
To me that is the riddle of Buzzer beater.

Lol, ok.
Lets settle this......
Provide "short man" data of the micro shot blocker.
6'4 and below...... Let this be an offshoot of the OT.
And these little guys can be positioned in the post to make it easier.

Are the SBing values around respectable?

IMO SB plays into the overall aggressiveness of a player, as driving does for offense.
This question begins to dig into the heart of the OT as a whole. SB has an effect, but just how much?

and it would be pretty hard to compare as other skills may influence shot blocking too.
Then if we follow your theory why not think the same think of rebounding and ID too, as height helps IRL
