Tank teams do it in other countries, I don't see an advantage, in that respect, to doing this in a smaller country.

You don't want to see advantage. In small country You can tank 10 seasons and never be relegated bellow 2nd league ;-)
In big country You will be relegated to 5th division ;-) And in 5th division weekly overall incomes are = ~20k ;-)
And trust me, even with higher TV contracts and merchandises in big country still it's better to tank in small country.
In big country if You make decision to tank, it means You must be relegated. In small country You can tank even without relegation.
And one more important thing - in small country You can win many matches without effort and it means You fans are happier and You ticket incomes are higher. And plese remember that tickets incomes are more important than TV and merchandise.
And quick example. You joined to BB 5 seasons after me. And now You have stronger team than me. And it isn't effect of better managment, strategy or tactic, etc. It's effect of playing in small country.

OK, i'll post if I get an increase this week. I would have thought the initial signing would have sent it up, but I guess with day trading etc, you may have a point.

Just under $9k increase. So not really a big jump, in line with what I was getting before for a player worth $187k p\w. So as of right now, no benefit.

2 cents, maybe 3 :-)

im with Deet and his opinion thats hard for a small country to compete at the BBB for a long term ( if we factor out filling station attendant teams like that amazing tactic team from teheran last season) ..aight, its easy to push motivation, make fast money and collect trophys but he will never never..okey once more..never make that money what a club with a winning streak in one of the top leagues would make ( i know its hard to get in this position in spain, usa, italia, germany or whatever but its not impossible)..for example my team, i promoted this season to the belletage in germany and i bet my penis that deets club never ever in 1000 bb seasons would make my weekly revenue from round about 1 million bb dollares ( if the premisses be the same of course )

Cheers

Will

Well it is simple...More competition means better teams overall...Better teams mean better income....better income means team improvement which means more income.

Of course in a small country you won't be able to compete too great against the best leagues. One more allegory - think of placing the Celtics against Alba Berlin (or against for example a small country champion). Now compare the competition. If there are more teams like the Celtics of course more public will show up and watch the games.

it is not your fault but you cannot do anything. It is designed to work that way and there is nothing wrong with that. And several managers showed that you can have decent success coming from a relatively small league. I dont think Iran has that great of a championship so it is perfectly doable. Just not easy.

What exactly are you complaining about? There is no such thing as perfect equality...Not even in a game.....

but alba berlin could be also a example in the other direction, Alba Berlin have the most visitors in Europe but i believe you agree that the BBL is not an top 5 league in europe.

The same counts for lot of colleges, i am quite sure that most european leagues are stronger but american are loving basketball and the college sports system(which is quite cool i had to agree) andthats why the march madness competes with the NBA PlayOff in the number of viewers(and i believe they even had more).
