Anyone into MMO's?

I haven't played MMOs in a few years..

Had 3 years experience with WOW, hated it when it went to Burning Crusade, played on and off since then.

Tried Age of Conan, was shit. Played Aion, was even worse. Warhammer had potential but ultimately had major issues that weren't addressed in time.. Played Guild Wars on and off..

But last weekend... I played the Beta event for Guild Wars 2.

Holy shit. It was amazing. I haven't been that excited about an MMO since World of Warcraft vanilla beta.

As a father, time is short and Guild Wars 2 caters for that.

Anybody else looking at playing it? Maybe we can form a guild!

I was thinking about checking it out once it gets released. Never really been big on MMOs (never played WoW or any of the others) but Guild Wars 2 does look good. Will it still be good to play even as a "part time" player?

Definitely. That's one of it's main strengths. Time investment doesn't make a better player. Skill does.

I played WoW (vanilla) and Warhammer Online...

But I havent played anything for a while now cos I'm waiting on Diablo 3, which is out soon I think.. 15th May.

Never played Guild Wars before but if what you say is true, it might be a good game to try for the casual gamer like me.

I played Wow from Vanilla - 5 years later, roughly... got to level 84.95 on a few characters and got really bored and quit even before getting the max level.

I'm really waiting for Diablo3, i have my collectors edition preordered and i'll be picking it up the morning of the 15th and playing it for 3 days straight.. :)

havent looked at guild wars at all, don't think i'm ready for another subscriber based mmo.
