Come on, your goal is clearly to go up this season and not building for the future. So anyway, its a risky gamble.
Do 't want to judge you but I do not think it is wise to live from yur savings, at least in D2, if you would not promote this year.

But I appreciate managers that take such risk so good luck ....

Its just basic math :-)

Worst case: Phoenix doubled his salary of 375.000 for nothing for the next few weeks. Which will cost him a little more than a million for the whole period. A team of his history easily broke even the rest of the season with a salary of 375.000. So worst case, after selling the players he maybe loses one and a half million, which isnt a whole lot I suspect.

Best case: He promotes and doesnt feel the need to get some reinforcements... Earning the money he deserves in BBBL :-)

you fell for the oldest trick in the books mate. should have seen it comming ;) But i knew you wouldn't be expecting me to play inside against you :P

call it arrogance if you want, but i've been a NT coach. i've learned the art of deceiving an opposing coach from one of the best ( Joe Maverick). Don't take me to likely next time. Considering my GS update, it would take a miracle to beat Sums...

despite having near perfect minutes, my entire team has gone down in GS... only 1 guy got better ( Baudoux). Pretty dissapointed their. Ow well, i've made preparations to stay in II anyhow. My economics should be within acceptable parameters and i'm going to make Marichal into a real monster. If i don't promote next season, i'll be forced to sell him off, but there will be very few players like marichal, so he should be worth quite an amount of cash :D

Risky business. If he fails, he can sell half of his team.

Are you sure ??... If you can see my bankaccount I have to say it to the Gm's so ^^

i ain't going down without a fight! this said, my GS update was a very bad one. I reckon Sum will be sailing thru this one without much trouble. Sad to see my season end like that, but i'll do better in the next one. i've already made good preparations for next season. I just hope that we can avoid getting Ventola into our conference... i've got some very bad stats against him and he's loaded in terms of cash.

Exit of the Angels from the PO's.

against Sums team, even with HCA, you can win that... i knew it from the moment that he brought in all those reinforcements... i changed my recrutement tactics once i saw all those extra players. sure is a pain to see, but can't be helped...

i knew he had cash, i was just hoping he wouldn't 'wake' up this season. this changes a lot of things for me. now, let's see how the off-season goes and we'll work from there on, but i might be stuck in II for a while longer now... possibly 2 or 3 seasons, the time required for J-J and Michael to grow into strong guards. Marichal will be trained full throtle next season, but if i can't promote next season, i'm going to be forced to sell him in season 24... ow well, we'll see how things go.

congratz to Sum on his fine season and considering that TBs lost their game against SK Wabeke ( what the hell happened in that game?) it's safe to say that Sum will be promoting to the BBBL. He's got a BBBL worthy team AND he's got HCA. You'd need to see atleast 3 or 4 injuries on his starters for him not to reach the BBBL, and we all know that ain't gonna happen...

Playing unexpected tactic is not rocket science ;)
Of course I was doubting, but I made a choice, and sticked to it. It was coinflip.
And about taking you too likely, sorry, but I don't see what you are talking about. I never thought about you on that way.

Happy that you learned from Joe, from my side, I have only 2 "buddies" in my buddies list, who are Joe and Coach Q, so I understand.

Too bad for the PO's, I didn't see who's coming down from BBBL, but it should be easier next season.

Well, depends.

I know for a fact that Inheems should be sitting close to 4M in cash. That would put him in a position to buy 2 young PF's, train them hard an entire season and have a team that would easily overpower any team in our league, including mine. The fact that he's gotten so much for his players shows what a strong team he had. his salary should give him 100k revenue per week ( without the cup) but i'm sure he'll have to add some players, so that salary should go up.

Ventola is sitting on an even bigger heap of cash. (Not to mention, Ventola has a certain curse which takes 7 PO finales before he promotes... So i'd really like to avoid him).

However, some teams are interesting. Falco has a very old roster, meaning it's strong on the XP part, but he won't get a lot of cash for them if he sels them. He's got practically no youth players so he's in trouble. Falco's salary is currently around 654k. So he's going to have to invest in youngsters, meaning that he's gonna have a rought time getting back up to the BBBL any time soon.

As for Bibou, she's got 643k. you need to slash away atleast 240k. that means her top notch C has to leave and another player has to go... she hasn't got any replacements and a 29y old C ain't gonna be sold for a lot. but he's got NT skills, so he could be picked up by a B3 team and she might just cash in for him. But i've heard that Bibou's motivation would be somewhat down at the moment ( altho, you never know how things can go back up, just look at Sum. he was invisible for a while and all of a sudden, he's back).

So If les Popotams or Falco Gent come into our division, we got a chance at getting out of here. If not, then we might as well forget promotion next season cause Ventola and Inheems have got way to much cash to even consider having hopes of promotion... and i'm going to continue the training of Marichal, so for me, next season, it's do or bust. i can't keep the wage of Marichal and continue his training. it just ain't possible. by season 24, Marichal should have a salary of something around 190 to 210k, and i can't afford that salary on one player in II...

So i've got a short window to get back to BBBL or my finances are gonna have a serious problem...

Looks like our season ends here.

I would have like to played the finals, but injury of Beykan and bad game shape decided otherwise.
Congrats to SK Wabeke, and goog luck in the finals, you'll need it!

See you all next season!!

Unfortunately, cash is still king, specially in games such as BB.

I could not imagine someone having so many funds when I see what I miserably earns each week.
With the salary increase coming up shortly I start to feel the pressure growing up.

Let's see what Sums will do in BBBL but seeing the current 3&4 spots I can guess he would not have to many troubles to survive there.
