GE whinge (for my utopia team) I went inside isolation and played a PF at SF .... so naturally my PG puts up as many shots as my starting PF and C combined ..... WTF. Cost me top spot in conference :(

Yep, I think II is most broken offense in the game (in a bad way)

Hope you dont mind me adding to the discussion here from an outside perspective, obviously i dont know your players skills.

Look at your SFs rating vs his, 9.5 vs 14.0. Thats not a good mismatch. Then look at the scoring per 100 shots, your SF spot is 64.9. To me, that tells me that his SF had bloody good defence in relation to your PFs scoring ability, and that for an inside iso offense, your PF playing at SF wasnt a good option to go to.

Then look at your PG, who ranked 11.5, and their PG who rated 7.5, and your guy had 107pts per 100 shots. IS there a chance that the inside isolation that your coach found most effective was your mismatch at PG? Id say their PG had a low ID rating and it was the best option your coach found.

Id say if you wanted an iso mismatch, perhaps the guy you played at PF might have played a good game on their C.

as a matter of fact yes I f ..... :-P

a nice and viable theory, but his first quarter shots were : 3 pointer, jumper from foul line, jumper from foul line, 3 pointer, dunk .... not seeing much inside isolation there.
second quarter : jumper above the foul line, dunk, 3 pointer, jumper above the foul line, jumper above the foul line, 3 pointer, jumper just inside the 3 point line, jumper from the foul line, jumper just inside the 3 point line, 3 pointer, jumper above the foul line, mid range jumper.

So there is zero inside isolation happening, even the shot chart at the end of the game shows an incredibly balanced shot distribution which shows this offence just doesn't do what it is supposed to do. There should be at least a higher concentration of inside shots.

Inside Iso is a post matchup that kicks out to shooters/cutters so I think it makes sense (also why it is considered a normal offence) for shot distribution. It's just shite.

It's annoying that you can't nominate your II post player or at least have it made clear who it was (or how many possessions they had posting up or something).

Very proud to see my home grown boy Brar take the best ever performance for assists in this league. Surprised it was from the SF position!
